The decor is warm and inviting. Very VERY clean!
The food was outstanding! We ordered a risotto appetizer and it was busting with flavor! Was not dry, had plenty of mushrooms. The entrees were loaded and presented extremely well. All around fantastic experience and we can’t wait to come back!
They want $18 for a caprese salad, which is 4 thin slices of tomato, 4 thinly slices of mozzarella, 4 basil leaves, and a generic balsamic glaze. And they wanted $15 for a piece of bland, unseasoned, grilled fish. I could have stayed home, fed my party of 5 for that price, and had made better food.
I always sit at the bar, USUALLY bar service is better & quicker service, sometimes my daughter meets me, sometimes not.
Having worked in the industry, we both get very anxious when we can’t find our bar server for the check at the end of our meal…EVERYTIME! We ALWAYS wait several minutes then have to ask for our check! Each time same server!!!!!
The only time this server gives us attention is when my daughter speaks to her in Spanish.
Today I was alone, I had to wait several minutes for her to even show up at the bar only to hand me a menu and walk away, she didn’t ask me if I would like a drink or water while I looked over the menu she laid the menu down & walked away!
Several minutes later she finally showed up to ask if I wanted something to drink, I told her yes & I’m ready to order. I was ready to walk out but I was hungry and didn’t want to figure out next steps at this point.
A gentlemen who walked in after me, served after I was received his check before I did. She proceeded to walk to the hostess to chat all while I made eye contact with her.
My leftovers were packed, my wine was finished, what more of a sign do you need as a server to drop the check?
I calculated my bill and left the cash on the bar and walked out telling the hostess “tell your mgr you all just lost another customer!” She said ok, have a good day, like she could have cared less! Does she not realize: no customers, no job?
On top of all this it seems they have changed who/where they obtain their used to be delicious bread, the bread they serve now always tastes stale. It is no longer the light, yummy sourdough bread we’ve come to enjoy over the years!
I WON’T RETURN TO THIS LOCATION. I will give the Marlton location one chance if they have gotten to be as bad as Cherry Hill, I’m done with all of them….one bright note: Kam the weekend bartender is a delight!
My husband has severe food allergies, including a serious allergy to seed oils. He follows a very strict carnivore diet because of these medical issues. We clearly explained this to our server and specifically requested lamb chops with absolutely no seasoning, no marinade, and cooked separately from other food to avoid cross-contamination.
When the food arrived, the lamb was visibly covered in seasoning. After taking one bite, my husband immediately felt sick. We asked the manager what was on the lamb, and she initially stated it was only garlic and parsley. When we questioned this further (because it was clearly more than that), she returned from the kitchen and then informed us that the lamb is actually marinated in seasonings and seed oils.
This change in explanation was extremely concerning. Not only was the food prepared incorrectly despite clear instructions, but we were also given conflicting information about what was on it. To make matters worse, the manager stated that we had come in months ago with a similar issue — which is true — but at that time a different manager handled the situation professionally and went above and beyond to ensure my husband’s safety. That positive experience is the only reason we felt comfortable returning.
Instead of apologizing, the manager was dismissive and rude, making us feel as though we were at fault. My husband was sick for the rest of the night and in significant pain. Thankfully, he recovered, but situations like this can easily become life-threatening for someone with severe allergies.
Food allergies are not preferences — they are medical conditions. Failing to follow instructions and providing inaccurate ingredient information is incredibly dangerous. In the future, this type of mistake could have far more serious consequences for another guest.
We are deeply disappointed, especially considering how well we were treated during our previous visit. We hope this matter is taken seriously and that better training and procedures are implemented to protect guests with food allergies.
They didn’t have bread just a small slice. Ordered
Tito’s vodka and they were out of it. Daughter orders a red wine and they were out of it too. Had to order something else. Check came to $185 with tip.
Sure was a bad and expensive experience.
UPDATE 6 days later
Was advised by owner to contact Brio corporate directly on their website and they would respond in 24 hours. 6 days later no response. I’m not looking for coupons or other reimbursement. Just citing that this a poor experience and response worse.
