Since the most famous chefs praise their moms for being their inspiration, what would happen if a whole restaurant was taken over by a group of Italian mothers?! Ready to find the answer to such a big and tasty dilemma, Peppe Corsaro launched a casting call on Facebook back in 2018 looking for brave mothers who’d fly to London and cook their regional recipes. Since the first opening in Chelsea in 2018, so many mammas joined the adventure and fed hungry Londoners in King’s Rd Chelsea, Hollywood Rd Chelsea and Kensington Park Rd in Notting Hill!

Huge thank you to our host Fabio who was honestly amazing. Super warm, friendly and made the whole experience even better. I have to say the entire staff was very attentive and lovely.
The atmosphere is cosy and fun, perfect for sharing food and taking your time. This is the kind of place you leave already planning your next visit. Cannot recommend it enough!
What lingers, however, is the warmth of the room. Service is attentive, relaxed and genuinely hospitable. The kind that feels considered rather than rehearsed.
As soon as we entered we were treated by the mamma by the window who made us a delicious complimentary (so rare in the uk) bruschetta.
We chose the first set menu at £41 each which included a good quality glass of Prosecco, starters to share, past, desert and coffee/tiramisu.
I can safely say everything exceeded our expectations. I have grown up in Italian culture and also speak the language and I must say I had given up on a genuine, well priced and welcoming Italian place until I found this one.
The starters says “board” to share so by UK standard I expected a board with cold cuts. This was the case but I they went over and above and we had about 4 additional warm starts which were all divine.
I then chose the pistachio pasta and my husband the carbonara. I safely say this was the best carbonara in the Uk and I’ll be back just for that!
We were so full we had to skip desert and Cesare our waiter kindly gave us the desert to take away.
We finished with a delicious limoncello.
We will surely be back. Alla prossima !
The food was incredible: fresh, authentic Italian dishes full of flavour. The Mamma’s know what they are doing!!! The pasta was outstanding (you can tell it’s homemade) and the tiramisu was one of the best I have had.
What really made the night though was the staff – warm, fun, and genuinely amazing. They went above and beyond to make my birthday unforgettable, they even came singing for me with sparklers on my birthday cake!!! Such a joyful place. Can’t wait to go back!
I recently had an absolutely wonderful experience at Alla Mia Mamma, largely thanks to the incredible service provided by Fabio.
Fabio was truly exceptional. Not only was he professional and knowledgeable—he clearly knew how to do his job perfectly—but he was also wonderfully funny and kind. He made the whole dining experience delightful and memorable.
And the food? Oh, the food! Every single bite was a journey. They managed to make me travel to Italy with each bite. Finally, authentic Italian music, taste, and genuinely healthy food are all together in one place in London. You can truly taste the difference in the quality and love put into every dish.
Alla Mia Mamma is a gem, and staff like Fabio make it shine even brighter. Highly, highly recommended!
