Pleasant Time at Great American Diner (at Dancing Eagle Casino)!
We found this diner while on a road trip, drawn by the good reviews and the lack of other options in such a desert-like area. And it turned out to be a great find!
Located inside a casino, we arrived for an early breakfast, shortly after they opened. The place is spacious, with plenty of tables, and everything was clean and organized.
The service from the moment we arrived was good, and the restrooms were also spotless.
We waited about 10-15 minutes for our food, which was very tasty. The portions seemed generous for the price, which is a definite plus.
As we read in other comments, it truly is a “hidden gem” in the middle of the desert. For being in such a remote location, the facilities and service are excellent. Completely recommended!

This place is really good. Very spacious they have a couple TVs and several tables. Looks like they may have a salad bar during the day but not sure if it was available. I came during dinner time after a long day of driving. The waiter Theodore was very polite courteous and prompt on his tables. The food was absolutely perfect as well. I just had a burger but the meat was very high quality and the fries were fresh out the fryer and served! I would definitely recommend this place. Everything was great. Thanks for the fine meal.

Had eaten here before, but this time food sucked, service sucked. When we went to pay our bill, was informed they could not break a $100 bill. Was told we could go into the casino and break it there. No refills were given nor checked on during meal. We live somewhat close and will NOT be going back.

We stopped here for a late breakfast, mostly based on the reviews of wonderful customer service. We walked in and there were no patrons except for one table paying their tab. An open restaurant. We asked to sit by a window as the view is gorgeous there. We were told only one waitress is on and that is not her section. To which I replied, well it would be good exercise then right? He simply said, sorry.
We wanted to leave then but waited on the waitress, and asked her the same question given that it would be her “burden” to walk. She told us that section was closed. By the way; the table by the window was twenty feet away.

Would recommend this restaurant . Large portions at a great price. Even the kids plate is a good portion. Our waitress Glady was very nice and attentive to our table. We will be visiting every time we road trip through!

Stopped in on our way from the Lightning Field back to ABQ. Being in the casino, we didn’t have the highest hopes but I’m glad we stopped. I had the Laguna Style Patty Melt, with pepper jack and green chiles. It was on thick-cut marble rye and was one of the best patty melts I’ve had. My husband ordered the chicken wrap with the green chile ranch and said the same thing. Both came with hot, fresh fries. The iced tea was freshly brewed. Our server, Glady, was attentive and friendly. Solid marks all around. Worth the stop (and throw some nickels in those slots while you’re there).

A much more extensive menu than I expected. I tried the New Mexican Combo which was very good. It was a lot of food. My mother, the vegan, had the salad bar with soup, and a side of small vegetables. They don’t offer designated vegan at this time, but she said there was plenty to satisfy her. It was a large dinner within the casino, very quiet, and had excellent service. Good prices.

Even though this Restaurant is in a Casino, it is one of the best Restaurants we have been to! The Food is great! Service is quick, and the price is very affordable! We will come back!
