I liked it a lot, for what I could order unable to eat meat, wish they had impossible burgers or chicken and I would be there a lot more; vegetarian options in general would be awesome! I really like they leave your salad dressing on the table! Definitely would recommend if in the area, prices could be a tad lower yet it’s not too bad.

Stopped here on a cold winter’s night and got some excellent comfort food. Great service. The place is packed, so you know the food is good. Salad comes with four different sauces for sampling. Very big, very good dinner roll. Chicken pot pie is great for battling the cold. It’s flavoured well. Heavy on the black pepper, and I think that’s a good thing. Highly recommended!

Sooooooooooo……. let me just start off by saying thank you Dee, She was our waitress. Took my family and I out for a nice dinner treat since we’ve been on the road for 2 hrs leaving from Des Moines. This place wasn’t super busy so no wait to be seated. Very great customer service, plenty of parking here. And kid friendly, and plenty of High chairs, nice and quiet environment, my 1yr old son felt very loved and appreciated with such great service, and food choices lol boy did he have a feast. My fiance got a well seasoned rare steak sandwich which was Very tender and juicy. Got my son chicken legs, fries and veggies he also grabbed and stole sweet potatoes from his dad and my plate as well . For appetizers, I picked potato slices and fiance chose fried mushrooms . did I mention the mushrooms were soooooo juicy ? Ohhh yeahhhh babes so…… for my order, I had to get the strawberry slushy for my drink, and O.M.G whew (DELISHHHH) !!!!! LOL and water with lemon of course. AS FAR AS FOOD CHOICE I picked the 4pcs chicken dinner with mixed vegetables and wheat dinner roll. Also to add, a big bowl of salad came along so we can split it all amongst each other. So to answer any questions about whether will I come back or not. You BETTER BELIEVE I WILL this was a great day to come eat here. However I only have (1) Debbie downer….. I didn’t like the gnats and flies flying around us when we were trying to eat

The food was amazing, but, the service was average at best. Be aware may find it that they charge 3.5# for using a card to pay. It didn’t bother me, but some it may.

They were quite busy but never stood around. We had a very hard working waitress who took the time needed for a special needs table and stayed so polite & patient & helpful. I was very impressed with her professionalism and patience. Food was good, I just ordered something different & it wasn’t for me, no fault of the diner. Im sure we will return!

We were a party of 5, arrived at 5:00pm. It was busy but not crazy.
Our server brought our drinks and took our orders in good time as well as bringing out the salad bowl. And another salad bowl.
But then things went downhill. Our server didn’t return for quite some time. One in our group needed a refill of their water.
Finally after 45 minutes of waiting for our meals he brought 2 of them. One was a 5 wing dinner with 3 cheese pasta, he was satisfied with his order.
Mine was the roast beef sandwich/potatoes w/gravy, barely warm.
Also a wrap meal that was supposed to include onions, cheese and green peppers. There was one small sliver of green pepper. The server said he could have t another one made but how long would that take?
The next meal brought out was 1 piece of chicken for a 4 piece meal along with her potatoes/gravy. He also brought the mashed potatoes and gravy for another in our group but not the 2 pieces of chicken. They were told more chicken would be ready in 14 minutes.
Perhaps there was a large carry out order for the broasted chicken or maybe everyone in the Diner ordered chicken that night. And maybe they were short staffed but keep us informed.
By the time the 2 in our party received their chicken their potatoes were cold. I know the wrap order was offered a remake but I feel it should have been comped some how, not free but something.
We have dined here many times before and things have always been good but I felt the need to share this so that management would be aware and do better next time.

Great food at our stop for lunch as we were going to South Dakota. They make their own appetizers, salad dressing, and majority of the other items. Family run restaurant with reasonable prices. We came in during their lunch rush, and the food was hot n in a timely manner. We ordered onion rings and cheese curds for appetizers…order them!!!

We have eaten here at the 63 diner several times and the food has always been delicious. So many options and reasonable prices. Because the servings are not small, I enjoy taking home leftovers and having another meal. We love the broasted chicken. My husband has had the steak and I love the salmon as well. What we enjoy is having an endless salad with their homemade dressings. Sometimes we buy the garlic dressing because we can’t find a better one in the stores. The waitress’s have all been wonderful. I would definitely recommend giving them a try.

Huge menu! Lots of options for everyone in the family. Not gonna lie, outside and inside looks a little duddy, but it’s a good place to eat.
I got a salad and a fried pork sandwich. The salad came in a big bowl with homemade dressings on the side to choose from. It’s self serve and was a nice salad.
The fried pork sandwich is a staple in the Midwest and did not disappoint! It was tender and very good and filling.
Overall, I’d recommend this place for the whole family. They have vegetarian options as well! They are also kid friendly.
