Came here for breakfast instead of going to Jack-in-the-Box and it was SO worth the extra few minutes! The food tasted fresh and delicious. I loved the melted cheese in the tacos and the sweetness of the horchata. This will be my go-to spot for breakfast now when I’m in the area!

Came in for some breakfast burritos and was SUPER impressed! I got the micas a la Mexicana with ham and my wife got potoes egg and cheese a la Mexicana and we loved them! Coffee was really good too! Looking forward to exploring the menu more

Plates were satisfying. Carbs, vegetables and meat. They were also delicious. But waiters don’t know English and communication was hard. Me and my other friend order different things but just mine came different other all was the same.

I came back here because my nephew likes this place, he recommends the tacos. I on the other hand remembered why I don’t come to betos.. maybe others haven’t had this issue but I always get over charged. This time took the cake with a $30 overcharge… My bill was $144.09 that’s including the $21.22 gratuity added, the $8.98 tax added and $5 card fee… Food was about $109.
I was charged$173.60 in the end, I noticed this once I got home. I usually end up going back there and ask why, to which they say they don’t know why it charged that. So again I’ll wait for the transaction to finalize so I can call to see what happened, but no one should have this issue, be sure to add everything up correctly before paying, they charge a card fee when paying with card.
This is only MY experience from this place.

This is the kind of place that reminds you what a neighborhood is supposed to feel like. While East Austin is changing fast and prices everywhere seem to climb overnight, this spot has stayed humble keeping its food affordable, its doors open to everyone, and its heart firmly with the community that built it.
The food is honest and comforting, the kind that doesn’t need trends or reinvention to be great. You can tell it’s made with care, not to impress outsiders, but to feed neighbors. Instead of chasing an upscale rebrand, they’ve chosen to keep prices low so families, workers, and longtime locals can still enjoy a good meal without feeling pushed out of their own neighborhood.
What really sets this place apart isn’t just the tacos or plates it’s the quiet commitment to staying accessible in the face of rapid gentrification. In a city where so many beloved spots disappear or become unrecognizable, this restaurant stands as a small act of resistance and a big act of love. Supporting it feels good, not just because the food is great, but because it’s helping keep the soul of East Austin alive.

This location need to improve on customer service. There’s one guy that’s awesome but the others need to do better. Folks choose to spend money there, a good morning or what can I do for you and eye contact never hurts anyone or any business. We won’t be back.

The quesadillas are crispy and delicious. The food is plentiful and the large margarita does not skimp on flavor or alcohol.

I had the chipotle chicken and it was solid, it was big and filling. The chicken could have been a bit more flavorful but it was still very good, the food was reasonably priced. For 2 large margs, chipotle chicken and chicken quesadilla was 55$ (with tip).

Overall I’ll be coming back here for sure, the food is filling, reasonably priced and good and the margs are strong. Can’t ask for more.

Salsa was not good and looked watered down a lot
Ordered tejano combo.
Meat was tasteless, shell was stale, even the beans and rice had no flavor. The waiter was good, but the food was gross.
As a Mexican, I’m not eating here again.
Don’t recommend
