First time here. We came on a Sunday afternoon with a party of ten. It was a birthday celebration.

Food:
To start, we had a couple of different wines for the table: a red (which I don’t recall) and a white Moscato, which I chose. We had the option of ordering off the regular menu or the smaller lunch menu, which still had plenty of excellent options.

Several different appetizers were ordered, including calamari, burrata with prosciutto, and milk bread with lavender honey butter. All of them were excellent: well plated, served at the right temperatures, and in good portions.

For entrées, there were lobster rolls, steakhouse filet chopped salads, and Cabernet filets. It didn’t take long for all the items to be ready. They were all hot, and each steak was cooked perfectly. The medium-rares were exactly that.

I had the Connecticut-style lobster roll, which had a very generous amount of warm lobster on a beautifully toasted brioche bun. The lobster was in nice-sized chunks, rich tasting, and tender. I upgraded to the truffle fries, which were plentiful and well seasoned. Best lobster roll I have had in Wisconsin.

We probably would have ordered dessert, but someone had brought a birthday cake, which was a perfect ending to a wonderful meal.

Service:
Service was good, although it was more efficient than friendly. She did a great job of getting us organized and ready to order. All of the food came out as expected. With a party of ten, there were times when water needed refilling and utensils needed replacing. After dinner, we wanted a picture, and she was happy to help us with that.

Atmosphere:
The place is a large space, with an expansive dining room that combines booths and tables. The entire area has a modern, upscale vibe. Tables were fitted with double white tablecloths and heavy black napkins. There was sufficient lighting, so nobody needed their phone flashlights to read the menus.

There weren’t many people there, with the exception of another large group. They seated us in different halves of the dining room, so we felt like we had plenty of space for lively conversation.

I would definitely come back for another dinner, especially for the lobster roll or one of their steak entrées.

My partner and I celebrated our anniversary here and we will definitely be coming back. The best customer service we have experienced! We were kindly greeted at the front desk right away and then seated. The first thing I noticed was a “happy anniversary” card on our table with the employees names signed inside, small things like this are very much appreciated and so genuine! Our server Noah was great, he was friendly, explained the menu to us, gave us some great recommendations and ensured we were having a great experience. The manager Josh truly gave us an experience we will never forget, he greeted us with some complementary wine to celebrate and we had a great conversation with him. We have been traveling to Milwaukee daily about 45 minutes from home, visiting our newborn in the NICU and by the end of the night our bill was fully paid for! Not only did we get to celebrate our anniversary at an amazing restaurant with great food and great service, but we also had a great experience for our last anniversary together before our babygirl comes home. We are truly thankful for such an amazing experience, thanks again Noah and Josh, we will be back in the future when our daughter can eat some steak!

I’ve literally never experienced anything like this – ever. I didn’t know how to order, what to order, why I had 3 different sized forks. LOL. Cheng Xae & his staff (name dropping Taylor! Our waitress!) were so kind, so knowledgeable & ready to answer any questions we had with no judgment. Our waitress was THAT girl. I felt like I was at work with her in the best way possible. I literally did a lil dance after every single bite. 10/10 Experience, 5 stars. There’s a first time for everything. I’m so thankful & lucky that Flemming’s was our first lil fancy date experience. Not once did we feel out of place. Thank you so much Flemming’s! We’ll definitely be back! If you’re reading this & contemplating on taking your woman or man.. here – JUST DO IT. You won’t regret it ☺️

This place was amazing, the best service I ever had. Anna our waitress was perfect. Anna is very knowledgeable helpfull and kind. She was not overbearing constantly checking on us but very attentive. She needs a promotion or a raise at the bare minimum. We will be back because of her service and the quality of food and awesome wine that was her suggestions.

Came for a birthday dinner and everything was excellent. I had the chicken entrée and shared asparagus, macaroni and cheese, corn brulee, and onion rings. The onion rings were huge and definitely worth every bite. I did swap the mushroom sauce on the chicken for a peppercorn sauce and it was fantastic. Would definitely come back for a date night.

I do wish they had more shrimp/chicken dishes, but I know it’s a steakhouse

My husband and I came here tonight for our anniversary, and were so impressed and delighted by our dining experience! From the moment we walked in, we were greeted by friendly, prompt staff who showed us to our table. We were then given an anniversary card from the staff, how sweet and thoughtful! Our server was excellent, friendly and attentive to our needs. The food was simply incredible, everything was a 10/10. We got an appetizer for our special dinner, beef carpaccio, pictured below. It was amazing! We also got a bottle of wine, husband got wagyu and lobster tail, while I got braised short ribs and mashed potatoes. We also treated ourselves to desserts of crème brûlée and NY cheesecake. We were even gifted a little box of truffles for our anniversary. My husband and I were so very pleased with our experience here tonight, it was well worth the money we spent. Thank you, Fleming’s, for such a wonderful evening. We will be back!

Great ambience and good quality food. Side to share (3 guests) were a bit short but the main entree (Turkey or Filet Mignon) were generous. The Lobster bisque were well presented but not warm enough. Recommended Pinot Noir for the Thanksgiving Menu was balow the average for $23 a glass. Great interaction with the server, however it took 45min to get our glass of wine.

My dining experience at Fleming’s in Brookfield this past Saturday was a mix of excellent service and extremely disappointing execution on the main course.

The Positive (Service):
The one shining aspect of our evening was the customer service. Our server and the entire staff were attentive, professional, and genuinely pleasant. They created a welcoming atmosphere, which is what we expect from a high-end establishment.

The Major Disappointment (Food Quality):
The primary reason for our visit was the steak, and unfortunately, this is where the evening fell apart. I ordered the Cowboy Steak (at a price point of $118), and it arrived noticeably burnt and heavily overcooked. For a prime steakhouse, especially given the significant cost of the cut, receiving a ruined steak is simply unacceptable. The quality of the cooking did not match the premium price tag.

Management Resolution:
We brought the issue to management’s attention, and they were very polite and apologetic, offering a complimentary slice of cheesecake. While we appreciated the gesture and the staff’s desire to make things right, a complimentary dessert does not compensate for the extreme disappointment of having the centerpiece of an expensive meal completely ruined. We left feeling very frustrated that our high-cost dinner ended with such a major culinary failure.

Conclusion:
While Fleming’s delivers on top-tier service, the most critical element, the cowboy steak was severely lacking in quality control. When a signature $118 steak is served burnt, it significantly undermines the value and the reputation of a fine dining steakhouse. I was very disappointed and would hesitate to return given this experience.

Excellent Service Recovery! The Definition of Professionalism

I am updating my previous review to reflect the outstanding service recovery provided by Fleming’s management team.

The Initial Issue:
My wife and I recently visited for a date night, following a great experience there for my son’s birthday. Unfortunately, our Tomahawk Steak was severely overcooked/burnt, which was highly disappointing given the cost. I left an honest, detailed review online.

The Swift Recovery:
Within two hours of posting my initial feedback, management reached out via email to address the issue. They called me the following day to personally apologize for the ruined steak and stated that the quality was simply unacceptable. To make things right, they invited us back for a complimentary Tomahawk Steak.

Special Shout-out to Cheng Xae, Operating Partner:

I want to give a special shout-out to Cheng Xae, the Operating Partner, who personally handled this issue with exceptional professionalism and care. In a time when customer service can often feel lacking, his swift, decisive action and commitment to customer satisfaction were truly commendable.

This is the definition of high-end service. Mistakes happen, but it’s how you recover that defines your business. Cheng Xae and the Fleming’s team turned a major disappointment into a success story. They’ve earned back my trust and my loyalty.

Moral of the Story: Customer Service and Professionalism are everything. I will absolutely be coming back and spending my money here. Thank you for making it right!

My wife and I came in and celebrated our first wedding anniversary. When making the reservation I let them know what we were celebrating and how we have celebrated the last 7 years of dating with them! Whether it was years of dating, birthdays or milestones we always love to celebrate over dinner at Flemings. Today they gave us a beautiful desert spread as well as a complimentary bottle of Champagne to celebrate us. Josh the manager was so kind and accommodating. Noah took amazing care of us and filtered in a great sense of humor along with it. 10/10 cannot recommend this place enough. Thank you for making our first anniversary as a married couple so memorable!

September 2025: My husband and I went to Fleming’s for an early dinner on a Tuesday evening. We were greeted right away and seated immediately.

My first thoughts when I entered Fleming’s was “outdated/80’s steakhouse”. They had a large bar, ample seating (both tables and booths), and a lot of dark brown in the room with very dim lighting. So dim that we had to use our flashlights to read the menu. lol!

Our waitress was very friendly and helpful, 5/5 for customer service!

For an appetizer, we ordered the shrimp cocktail. The shrimp were small and not as good as the ones I buy from the grocery store. The cocktail sauce wasn’t spicy enough for me, it tasted kind of bland, even with the horseradish on top of the sauce.

For dinner, I had the 8oz filet with scallops, my husband had the ribeye, and we had the mushrooms and asparagus as sides. My filet was okay, I wouldn’t order it again. The scallops were smaller than I anticipated they would be and tasted a little fishy.

My husband really enjoyed his ribeye and said it had great flavor and was cooked perfectly. We both thought the sides were okay- as expected, nothing memorable about them.

We decided to skip alcohol and dessert.

Overall, great customer service and okay steakhouse food. As I write writing this review, I do realize I’m somewhat of a “steakhouse snob”. For the cost at most steakhouses, I expect top notch food and service.
