We have eaten here many times and love the food. This time, amazing staff helped me in a difficult moment. Just outside the restaurant I tripped over my wheelchair when getting up and landed hard on my knees. Staff helped me up, seated us, and brought me ice. They were amazingly kind. As my knee swelled up, we decided to go home instead of eating. So this time my high rating is for the staff. Thank you for making a hard experience much better. We will be back soon for a meal.

Amazing!! We have been coming for years. Best place ever! Shout out to our server Ethan—amazing waiter and service. Go ask for him. Great guy! Also shout out to the bartender for her signature expresso martini! Do yourself a favor—go visit them and support a local business!!!

My experience at Sammy T’s was excellent from start to finish. Since you arrive, the atmosphere is cozy and with a lot of personality, ideal for both a casual outing and a special occasion. The attention of the staff is friendly, fast and very attentive to details, which makes you feel welcome at all times.
The food was the real protagonist. Each dish was perfectly presented and full of flavor. You can see the quality of the ingredients and the care in the preparation. In addition, the menu offers good options for different tastes, which means that there is always something interesting to try.
The atmosphere, music and energy of the place create a complete experience, not just a dinner. It is one of those restaurants that you want to return to to continue exploring the menu and enjoy the service again.
Without a doubt, Sammy T’s is a totally recommended place.

We stopped at Sammy T’s on our way back to Arlington. We ended up having lunch there by chance. The place is one or two blocks from the waterfront park; very convenient. It is a top family-friendly restaurant. The staff was nice and flexible; the food tasty and prices were reasonable. The blue cheese cream was amazing! Definitely going again next time we are at Fredericksburg. My kiddos insisted in giving them five stars :).

She is so nice and accommodating. The manager is awesome too!! Super nice people and very good food! The avocado on my sandwich was perfect.

I was working downtown and finally stopped by — sure didn’t regret it! YMMAS Pizza (hidden in the back of Sammy T’s) is a legit Chicago-style deep-dish spot. Buttery crust, tons of cheese, and loaded toppings. The sauce is the best I’ve had in years. I will be back with the family to share. If you haven’t been, you should stop by!
Keep in mind, it takes about 30 minutes for the magic to happen, so pop in, order, have a walk or play down at the River Front park about a block away. 12/10 – would eat again!

Overall, my experience with Sammy T’s was good, not excellent. I haven’t been there in several years. Was very intrigued by the Chicago deep dish pizza. We ordered a medium pepperoni. I was disappointed that the pizza came out lukewarm. The restaurant side of the house wasn’t extremely busy, so I’m not sure why it came out so cool. I was really looking forward to a hot pizza with that Chicago flare. If I said, the pizza was lukewarm, it may not have been that warm. And this is personal preference, but the sauce is a bit acidic, a touch of oil or something sweet for my pallet would improve its savory, rich flavor and reduce the bitter acidity. I will most likely give it one more try and hope for just a slightly better result.

Visited this place several times in the past few months and never left disappointed. The menu is vegetarian friendly with numerous positions for non meat eaters. Food was always amazing. A lentil something soup was so delicious, I wish it was back in the menu. Vegetarian chili and tomato cream soups also very tasty. Vegetarian burger patty and falafel also very good. The staff was always friendly, and service was good. Overall, visiting this place has always been a pleasure so far. Will for sure come back many more times.
The only thing I could complain a little about, are the spider webs outside on the walls by the tables. Not a big deal since I’ll always have my husband sit closer to them, but I just think that would be a nice detail to take care of!

I don’t usually write negative reviews, but after multiple disappointing visits, I feel others should be aware. This was our third negative experience at Sammy T’s, and it will be our last.
First, our bill listed my meal as $18 when the menu price was $14. We only noticed after carefully reviewing the receipt, which shouldn’t be necessary. The portions were small, and the food itself was bland and unimpressive.
We were also frustrated by hidden charges. The waitress asked what kind of cheese my kids wanted on their burgers, but never mentioned it would be an extra $1 per burger (for a tiny amount of cheese). That should be clearly stated upfront, especially when ordering for kids.
I genuinely don’t understand how this place has 4.5 stars on Google. Between inaccurate billing, unexpected upcharges, and mediocre food, the experience just isn’t worth it. If you do decide to eat here, carefully check your bill.
