The brisket tasted really bad.. which was the most disappointing. The ribs were good, not falling off the bone but good. The slaw is missing some sugar. The corn is not good. Its as if the corn is boiled first and for too long, making it very mushy. Then there is too much sauce on it, you can’t really taste bbq corn. That said, the drinks were good tho and the staff is all SUPER nice. The mac and cheese is very good and the fried chicken sandwhich is great.
The pulled pork had a nice flavor, but arrived a little lukewarm with a bit sparse bbq sauce. The brisket was pretty dry & definitely the least enjoyable part. The pork side ribs were absolutely phenomenal, the Chipotle mayo grilled corn just lovely, and the tater tots were crispy & great.
The service was great, prompt, and attentive. The space was a bit tight on the second floor & the table wobbled a LOT, which at times made eating less than ideal.
So, overall: mixed! Not the best BBQ I’ve ever had & rang in at $150 for the sampling plate with 2 non-alcoholic drinks & and addition of tots. Would go back again & try other stuff!
EDIT: -1 star overall for staff repeatedly asking for the name my reservation was under, not confirming it, then erroneously marking me as no-showing. C’mon now, SMH.
ribs here were too tough to chew even if you guys aimed to make it so called restaurant style.
briskets were dry, I don’t know why you guys didn’t at least smother it with tallow juice after cutting it if not going to make it properly.
sausages had no juice, just very dry.
cornbread was the only thing i could enjoy a bit but who can’t make damn good cornbread if you know how to smoke bbq? mac n cheese was too bland, lacking cheese flavour. not to mention it was lukewarm
The only downside is the chair at the ground floor. I am small so the barstool is not it for me, my feet couldn’t reach the foot rest so I was uncomfortable. We asked if we can move to the 2nd floor but they said it’s close because there’s only one waiter working at that time. Regardless, they apologized about the situation and again, the food was good.
But just take note if you are a small girlypop, maybe call first to ask if their upper floor is open.
We also ordered the lemonade( it has mint in it) and the sweet tea (I ordered two).
Overall great experience, but definitely a bigger crowd next time to finish the food (we had a lot of leftovers haha).
Prices are reasonable, I spent around $40.
I’d 100 percent return and next time try other things on their menu, alongside those ribs again!
