We sat outside and watched the storm roll over the water. The view is stunning.
Wouldn’t go out of our way to come here again, but would consider it if in the neighborhood.
A good amount of outdoor picnic tables overlooking the marsh. Small indoor seating, but it wasn’t too busy when we were there so no issues with seating.
They sell Pepsi products. My mom said they didn’t have cocktail sauce.
We each enjoyed 1 1/4lb lobsters for dinner which came with fries and Coleslaw. The coleslaw is very good, just wish it came with more! I also got the Caesar salad but wish I didn’t because it was too much food. The salad was huge on one of those large oval paper plates. The parm on top was nice.
For lunch my mom got the 1 1/4 lobster again with fries and Cole slaw + the small whole belly clam basket. She really liked them but did say they weren’t as tender as another spot in/near Kennebunkport.
I got the fried oyster dinner and loved them. They were small to very small, but I honestly enjoy them more that way. Probably 30 or so of them. Tons of fries. Probably should have just gotten the oyster basket – not dinner.
Would recommend this spot!
There was plenty of available parking in the afternoon. There may be more on the other side of the building as well.
We shared the 2-way combo with oysters and scallops, which came with good fries and cole slaw (in a perfect amount of light dressing, not drowning it). Lemon wedges on the side. The breading on the seafood was light and tasty; the scallops in particular were cooked perfectly – so tender and moist! Fountain drinks (pink lemonade and unsweetened iced tea) were adequate. Alcohol was available. Prices reasonable.
There were a few people in line ahead of us to order, but the line moved very quickly. You are given a pager that vibrates when your order is ready. Ours came out so fast, in about 5 minutes! A lot of people seemed to be picking up food to go.
There is a small indoor eating area with A/C. We were able to snag a table outside under a covering. There was a nice breeze and it was a good spot to relax on the marsh.
When we passed by on our way home around dinnertime, and it was much more crowded – with overflowing parking and a line out the door. (But a beautiful sunset.)
I ordered a whole 1 1/2 pound lobster. It was a bit on the small side but the taste and juiciness was exceptional! I didn’t even add any butter or lemon because it was so delicious. The shell was so soft and easy to crack.
I grew up in Boston but have lived in France for 30+ years. Every time I travel back to Massachusetts to visit my father we go out for a few lobster meals. This was definitely a happy surprise and very memorable. I hope to come back!
