Wonderful atmosphere complete with Italian music playing in the background.
I started my meal with warm bread and a glass of Chateau St. Michelle is a white wine with a nice crisp taste.
I ordered Mediterranean stuffed mushrooms. A wonderful taste of herbs spinach and feta. Next was my salad with thousand island dressing.
Followed by my main course of Tortellini with roasted garlic sauce, topped with shaved parmesan cheese. If I had known how much food it was going to be, I would not have eaten the bread. The dish was perfectly cooked, the parmesan cheese, spinach, and cream sauce gave it a wonderful taste. I really couldn’t taste the garlic in the sauce, still and amazing dish.
Dessert was a slice of Chocolate Fudge cake. Need I say more, nope.
My waitress Damianne was wonderful with great service.
I will be back to try other dishes.
I was pretty impressed with the atmosphere and the service. The waitress was very kind and understanding and the front of house staff were exceptionally friendly.
As for the food. I loved the free bread. It was baked fresh every time you got a new basket. I ordered the Chicken with the white wine and garlic sugar with mushrooms. As it was a dinner, I got a side salad and side of pasta. The pasta was their house made spaghetti with red sauce. I’m not really a spaghetti person, but theirs was really good! I was even more impressed with the side salad. The lettuce mix was fresh, same with the veggies that came on it as well. Their balsamic vinaigrette dressing was very tasty and truly brought the salad together.
As for my main course, the chicken was good, but I wasn’t all that impressed with it. It wasn’t very well seasoned and the sauce it came in was lukewarm. I still ate it because I was hungry, but I was very tempted to send it back or order something else. I know a lot of their other dishes are probably better than this one, but I was slightly underwhelmed with the Chicken dish.
Overall, it’s a decent Italian restaurant, especially for this area. I would definitely return (I would just stick with their pasta). Keep in mind that they are usually really busy. Wait times are anywhere between 20-60 minutes depending on the day. If you are okay with waiting 20+ minutes for some decent Italian food, then this place is for you.
Ever since enjoying Cacciatore‘s the first time I have wanted to stop back again. I finally had the opportunity towards the end of October 2019 to stop and have dinner with my wife and youngest son as we made a swing through PA and New York for a little sightseeing and enjoying the changing leaves. We had another wonderful dinner at Cacciatore‘s the prosciutto wrapped mozzarella is to die for as well as all the other dishes we tried. The service was spot on we very much look forward to stopping back in the future.
