It’s been a minute since I’ve had an authentic Mexican meal like this! I can’t recommend the Birria Tacos enough, they were absolutely phenomenal.
We started of with chips and homemade salsa, then ordered the Choriqueso Dip (an explosive flavor of chorizo sausage mixed in their house queso cheese dip) it was unlike anything I’ve ever had and will be one of the many reasons I return!
Again… Quesa Birria Tacos… Do it! You won’t be disappointed I promise you, the consume dip is prepared to perfection.
Finish with the Flan (mexican custard dessert) and you have had yourself one hell of a meal at a very fair price, and don’t forget the Margaritas!

Absolutely delicious. Everything was so fresh and full of flavor. The staff were kind, welcoming, and made us feel right at home. The service was impeccable and our food came out quickly and perfectly prepared. You can tell they truly care about their guests and the quality of what they serve. I will definitely be coming back. Also, the margaritas are SOOO GOOD

What to say about Jose’s…. ill say this is the best Mexican food I have found north of the bridge from the simple things like the rice and beans to the crispy and absolutely delicious churros served hot . The tacos were absolutely on point i had the el pastor tacos and want to try all of the other varieties they offer cant miss the service is exceptional too . Real authentic mexican food yes come to Jose’s!!!

This place never disappoints. We came for lunch today. Great food, reasonable prices. Lunch was $10 each. Guacamole stuffed with cilantro. Yum. While intriguing, we passed on the serve yourself margarita tower!

Hungry on a Mother’s Day evening, we came to Jose’s after much debate. We were surprised and satisfied! Parking was crowded and the restaurant was very busy; however, we were seated promptly. I understood right away why this was the place to be: the food is very reasonable in price, delicious and the service is excellent. Our waiter arrived with a basket of tortilla chips and a bowl of salsa: this is how every Mexican restaurant experience should begin. The chips were warm and the salsa tasty (he brought us another round after we quickly devoured the first). I ordered Enchiladas Rancheros. They were good but it was perhaps a bit too salty. The rest of my family were happy with their meals: Enchiladas Supremas, some Lunch Order #8? and a kid’s Chicken Tender and fries. My youngest is a notoriously poor eater, so I challenged her to finish her meal for a reward: she finished it happily. Her reward was some Fried Ice Cream, which we all enjoyed. Our attentive waiter gave my wife a free slice of cheesecake for Mother’s Day. It was a nice gesture and unexpected. Will we come to Jose’s again when we are back in Sault Ste. Marie? Absolutely.

Jose’s always does a wonderful job and they are fast and reliable. We have never had a complaint. Portions are well sized so you wont go hungry for what you pay for. Fair priced and good food.

The minute you step into the restaurant, the aromas of yummy food greet you.
The staff are very welcoming, warm and polite.
Service is fast and food tastes so good.
They offer complementary chips and salsa, and the soda drink is refillable.
Portions are really more than enough for one person.

The place had plenty of open seats at 6 on a Friday night. Chips and salsa came quick. Waiter was a bit unfriendly but did a good enough job. Noise level was low, which we appreciate. The food portions were standard for Mexican fare. The food quality was not great though. Too much Sysco product and no modifications to it to make it tasty. Overall, bland and not flavorful. If back in the area, we would not return.
