The Crab dip is always delicious! Bento box was a great value and very good! Excellent service as always! Pot roast sandwich was just ok. Should have ordered the Annapolis pasta! Love this place! Still giving 5 stars because of so many wonderful memories. Thank you for making my Dad’s 85th birthday special can’t wait to taste the Smith Island cake! Flew from Florida to eat here

When I looked at the menu I had a really hard time figuring out what I wanted. There were a lot of appetizers and entrees that looked delicious! I got the fish tacos as an appetizer, and they were excellent. However, I got a turkey bacon thousand island dressing grilled sandwich for my entree, and I couldn’t even eat half of it. It wasn’t that good, lol. The fries were also fair. My wife got French onion soup as an appetizer that she didn’t think was very good. She also got the fish and chips for her entree and she didn’t like it. The fish was soggy. She was happy with her dessert, though. I skipped it. And they don’t give you water or a basket of bread unless you ask. There were 10 of us, so that may have had something to do with the lack of service.

Poached pair salad with the breaded goat cheese is phenomenal. My other faves are the crab cake eggrolls and the southwest eggshells. Coconut shrimp is fire but on the seasonal menu.

(Keylime crush is a no, and didn’t care for the gumbo)

My husband, daughter and I went to Matthew’s on NYE and had the most amazing dinner! We made the reservation the day before and were asked if we were ok with a booth or would we prefer a high top table in the bar area. I assume the dining room areas were all booked, but we didn’t really care where we sat. We just wanted a nice dinner. We were seated at a booth in the bar area and it was cozy and comfortable.
We ordered the scallops and crab dip for an appetizer-both were delicious. The scallops were a good size and nicely done. The crab dip was so good, I just wish there was a little more of it, but then I probably wouldn’t have had room for my dinner.
My daughter ordered the filet which was perfectly cooked and it was exceptional!!
My husband ordered the NY strip and it was also cooked perfectly and very good. He said his side of mashed potatoes were world class and the asparagus were tender and very good!
I ordered the shrimp imperial and it was just what I was looking for, but again, wish I had just a little bit more of the crab imperial on top. It was also very delicious!! And the rice pilaf with it was very good, not bland or dry, good flavor.
Then we had dessert! Not sure how we had room because we all pretty much cleared our plates. They had a nice variety and we three shared the brownie cookie a la mode and a large piece of chocolate peanut butter Smith Island cake. I LOVE SI cakes! Both of these were out of this world good! We enjoyed our dessert with some coffee before ending our time there. The service was great, from the time we walked in and were greeted by three very lovely young ladies, to the time we left. On our way out we ran into some old friends who apparently have been coming there for NYE for the last few years. We don’t go out to dinner like that very often and we had such a perfect time! They told us in advance that there was a 2 hour time limit so that they could accommodate others, and this was more than enough time. We had a few minutes to spare and we took our time. It was just all so good!
Thank you to all the staff at Matthew’s.
Happy New Year!

The overall atmosphere of the restaurant was great. There were a ton of people there so we had a short wait. The appetizers were really good, we got the crab egg rolls and the pretzel nuggets with cheese, both were amazing. I would recommend both as well as the Annapolis Pasta, so good and full of lump crab meat and shrimp. Definitely going to make another visit in the future.

Took my son there around noon. Seating was immediate, staff was courteous. Pretzel bites with cheese and the burger both 13 yr old approved. Dad enjoyed the Monte Cristo. Only wish I hadn’t got in trouble with the wife since I’ve never taken her here. Would definitely bring her next time!

I’ve only been here once. Stopped for brunch after church. The food was good. Looks like the menu has plenty of options. My friend and I got an omelette and our other friend got waffles. The waitress was attentive and the food was brought out pretty quickly.

Had a great date night here, the seasonal veggie of broccoli were out of this world I literally saved them as my last bits instead of mashed potatoes and that like my favorite. Montrose meatloaf where its at! We also got the brookie with ice-cream which was toasty chocolate brownie and cookie combo very yummy. Even if I was disappointed they took away the lava cake which is 100% better. Bring it back guys

Went there for an event with a limited menu.
Pros:The place looks nice and clean. Drinks were good
crab dip was excellent

Cons: All other food bland and not good.
I always get a medium/raw meat and their roast was too raw for me. Their Alfredo sauce tasted like nothing, literally not cheesy, not garlic.
I would skip this one

Solid 3.5 stars.
We were seated right away as it wasn’t too busy. There was some music playing, but it was still quiet. The table was definitely a little sticky. For an appetizer we started with the pretzel nuggets that were cooked perfectly. The cheese dip was light and delicious. It complimented the pretzels well. I also had a garden salad with my entree being the steak. The peppercorn was a nice touch. Good mashed potatoes and asparagus. My partner ordered the seafood mac and cheese which he said was good. We loved the bread that came with it. Good food but nothing to hit home about.
