Ah! The food was just amazing! Never expected the big portion sizes and over ordered of course. but very delicious food. The staff are very friendly and suggest as per your requirements. The ambience is very pleasant. Pricing is very normal as well, especially for the portion given, it’s a good pricing. Service was a bit slow but I wouldn’t complain about it because the food was worth waiting! Although hunger would have said otherwise Also, their coffee was just amazing. I was craving for such good coffee!! I’m a vegetarian and not at all a fan of Mushroom and usually go for basics like spaghetti and tomato sauce. But even that was very delicious! Would highly recommend!

Was introduced to this place by a friend and we loved the seafood and Tiramisu! Had to go back again before we leave Cambridge, and they didn’t disappoint. The pizza is heavenly and really filling for our tiny Asian appetite.
The service here is highly professional and welcoming. Personally, I wish to provide 6 stars for their service, especially when they went out of their way to resolve some issues of mine with the receipt. All the best!

I really enjoyed Al Pomodoro when I visited a few years ago but was really disappointed this time around. The food was mediocre as was the service. I had the Bufala Caprese – the mozzarella was fine, nothing special but the tomatoes were not that tasty and the unseasoned sea of rukola was particularly unappealing. My husband’s arancino was bland. We’ve been to Sicily and he loved the arancini there. My seafood risotto was pleasant but my husband’s swordfish was tough and overcooked. Overall, very underwhelming for the price and a far shadow from what it used to be.

Food was great and was served promptly, but the service was a little off and the restaurant was super bright and had no background music playing or anything, so it felt far from cosy.

This was a big disappointment for me. I went to this restaurant with my italian friend from Sardinia. We ordered arancini and parmigiana as starters and we had two pizzas. The presentation of the food was OK.
The arancini and Parmigiana were good. The parmigiana was too oily but taste wise it was OK.
The pizza was a disaster: we had the Capricciosa and Tony. The Taste was very blend, really very blend .. the dough was kinda dry and either old or wrongly fermented .. man it must have been continue fermenting in the stomach as we both had really hard time digesting the food. So if you pay 80£/2 people no alcohol no dessert and less than average taste of the food, it is not worth it. Maybe other dishes are ok, but this is based on my experience.

Food was really good, portions large and reasonably priced. Unfortunately some of the wait staff were quite rude and pushy from the beginning, reminding us that we only had an hour and a half with the table. Fair enough, it was a reasonably busy Saturday night, we were quite a large group and there were a few people who were a bit late to joining us (Cambridge traffic being a nightmare as always) which we apologised for plenty at the time. We had all finished eating within our allocated hour and a half time frame but felt pressured to get out from the start. We had paid £10 deposit each to be there and had been looking forward to it based on a friends recommendation of how good the food was so it was disappointing that we were made to feel like this from first sitting down. I would still visit for the food and portions but maybe on a weekday night to avoid busy periods in hopes that the vibe is more relaxed.

The calamari starter was disappointing. The salad looked as though it had come straight from a supermarket bag – completely dry and without any dressing. We had to ask for bread three times before it finally arrived.
The main courses were good. The pizza was still excellent, just as I remembered, which salvaged the experience somewhat – but not by much.
The worst aspect, however, was the service. The first member of staff who took our order was miserable and rude. It felt as though they were doing us a favour by serving us.
It’s a real shame. I used to travel many miles to dine here, but I won’t be doing so again unless things improve.

friendly staff. pizza and pasta are delicious. really like to seafood pasta. big portion on the pizza and garlic bread. staff is super friendly. quiet and easy to talk. Will visit again soon.

Manager Eva made our stay extraordinarily memorable Its a must visit place in Cambridge if you wanna try real Italian food !!! Worth 10/10 ♥️for food, service, hospitality and location , of course.
