Great service and very cute restaurant. We ordered the shrimp appetizer and loved it. The candied garlic medallions were pretty well done for medium well, but I would order differently next time and try something else.

Best dry, extra dirty Grey Goose martini on this side of the state. Waitress was amazing. Enjoyed both the salmon & cod dinners. Nice, chill atmosphere with lots of original wood features.

It is rare in todays’ world to find an old world supper club with both great food, AND great service…but we found it right here at Houligans! The food was great, we shared the Seafood Bake, and the Prime Rib. Very tasty, quality incredients. And our server, Caleb was so helpful and such a great server. The staff was very supportive of each other, and exemplified the concept of teamwork at every angle. The ambiance was beautiful and the feel was nostalgic of a time when good food and good service was the norm. This is a rare treasure, as such, I would reccomend reservations. There is metered street parking.
This is a perfect place to dine before, or after, going to a show @ The Pablo which is just a couple blocks down the road.

I had the sweet and sour shrimp. My suggestion is to replace the mashed potatoes with rice, Mark it down as an appetizer. Rice and shrimp were an odd combo. We also had the honey pistachio chicken and it was basic. Nothing special. Patio is nice and quieter. But the staff have to take the trash out that same way

It was a rainy night when we arrived. So the warmth of the staff was really appreciated.

Wooden decor revealed this has been here for a while and well-established for it was evident locals were meeting there for after work drinks

Loved the warm sourdough rolls. I choose short ribs that literally fell off the bones. Loved the horse radish mashed potatoes.

Desert great. Walked
out of there with leftovers and talking about the great staff.

Came here from out of town needing a good steak… started off with a non-alcoholic Whiskey Old fashioned that was quite bad – Betty took care of me and brought a very good non-alcoholic IPA that didn’t disappoint!

I ordered the NY strip Mid rare but with a good sear. It showed up with a very good sear, and raw in the middle ha!
Betty got it back to me cooked, still a bit rare for me but I guess everyone’s definition of medium rare is different…
Not a bad steak all things considered!

Overall I would say everything was under seasoned. The vegetables needed a LOT of salt. The potatoes were not as creamy as I expected (considering the menu says “Sour Cream Mashed Potatoes”. They needed salt as well. The steak could’ve used a good bit more salt as well, to be honest I don’t know if there was any on it haha.

Finishing with the crème brûlée, (Betty’s recommendation). Perfect caramelized sugar with a cold custard underneath. They did serve it with a chocolate covered spoon which I thought was unnecessary and took away from the dish quite a bit…

If I was back in Eau Claire again – I can’t say there would be a better option for steaks than this. Just hope they start cooking with salt!

Great service. We had a large group and the waitress did a great job. Menu: Very pricey. Also the kid’s menu has items like: chicken wings, shrimp, steak, etc. Nothing a kid would eat. Had the shrimp tortellini which was awesome.

This establishment has been a favourite of mine for years. Unfortunately they are only open some days of the week, often not the ones I am passing through Eau Claire.

I usually get their garlic steak, which is a specialty for the establishment. This occasion I opted for sea bass. The tap list usually has excellent options. The food is most excellent. There is a reason this place is consistently busy every occasion that I have patronized it.

Check the hours of you are thinking to go, if it will be open it is a SOLID choice.

We came here with a very large group, adding additional people last minute… I cannot say enough about how accommodating the staff was! The food was on point (as always, in my opinion!!) the drinks were perfect, and our server, Reid, was top notch!!!
