This past weekend we held our 35th High School reunion in their banquet room. The venue was perfect, the food was fantastic and the service was amazing. Jackie and Maria took such great care of us and were so accommodating. We had a DJ at our party and there was space for the DJ and dancing. They also had tech options and we were able to stream a slide show for our event. It was the perfect option for our party. Would highly recommend their venue if you have a party coming up.

I heard good things about this place and have driven past multiple times so we wanted to give it a try. The service was very good. Our waitress was friendly and very attentive. The menu had plenty of affordable combination options and the food seemed fresh. My complaint is that there really was not any flavor to our dishes. We ordered guacamole, chili, and a burrito/ enchilada plate. This was the first time I have had guacamole that was bland. It was disappointing because the portion size was generous and tasted very fresh but no flavor at all. The other items we ordered we the same. The chili was the best out of the three things we ordered but still could use a bit more seasoning.

Was so excited to eat here as I haven’t had it in over a year. Loved the Vernon hills location. Ate takeout from lake zurich 5 times a month. Highly disappointed in the Gurnee location. Food had no flavor. Margaritas were just sour mix. No taste. Slow service. Place looked run down. I’ll give lake zurich a try next as I haven’t had an issue before. But if it’s all the same restaurants then they should be uniform across the board.

Not only are the tacos some of the best I’ve ever had, but the service is unbeatable. Management always checks in to make sure everything is perfect, and the waitresses treat you like family. They’re quick, polite, and genuinely friendly. I always leave happy (and full!).

Food was horrible…service was slow. Waitress was talking the whole time and trying to get anything we had to wave her down. The cooks was cooking with no gloves and touching the food with their hands. The bathrooms are dirty as well.

My first time at Tacos El Norte turned out to be very nice. I ordered the combination of taco, Chile Renos, enchiladas with beans and rice, for about fourteen dollar. Each item was well prepared and delicious. This is a large dining room with and separate dining room for privacy. I’ll have to return with more people to enjoy more variety. Finally got to check out Tacos El Notte Gurnee. I personally have to say I like this one more compared to the lake bluff one. So, let me get into it!
The food was definitely much different than the lake bluff one. The menu was much better and had more options for sure. I got the taco bowl and I have to say it was really worth it! I felt satisfied and full after eating it! My co work got the 3 taco dinner and he pointed out that has tortillas were dry and hard. The service was good. Our waitress checked in with us often which I liked! The atmosphere really reminded me of restaurants that I visited when I was in Mexico! I really loved the decor! Overall, I would say check TENG if you want to try a very good menu!

It was a good authentic Mexican restaurant. I forgot what region they cover but it was tasty. I was in the mood for tacos but at the same time didn’t want to go to an expensive place for tacos and not get much for how much I spent. I have been here before back and early 2000 when I used to attend University of Phoenix with some classmates living up here. It’s family owned and they have other locations but this is the one I remember. Reason why 3 out of 5 stars is because despite the food was good and I felt I got the wrong order for tacos. I wanted one beef tongue and one sirloin tacos but then wanted an extra Taco but it was sirloin and ended up being the beef tongue which was incorrect. Nevertheless it was delicious but I really wanted the sirloin Taco extra. Just really tell the staff for server what you want otherwise they’re going to assume wrong. I would still come back but I’ll probably go for their fajitas. the tacos was good too just really emphasized to the servers what you want despite poor understanding
