We dropped in for an early dinner. The service was great. The food was excellent. The menu is great… Dinner plates, steaks, prime rib, sandwiches, burgers and more. We’re in town for a couple of days and we’re planning to go back.

I was recommended to come here by my campsite owner, and I’m really glad I did. The atmosphere is old-fashioned in the best sense: polite, friendly, and easy. Quality staff make such a difference to any restaurant or experience, and that was definitely the case here. Values I genuinely appreciate.

A real Montana experience. Casual, seat yourself bar with an adult side (21+) and family side. Food is good. I had a grubstake burger with all the toppings, bacon and cheese. Hubby had the French dip. Burger is thick, 1/2 pound ground chuck. Fries are homemade but not salted so you’ll have to add it yourself. The French dip was “fine”.
Waitress was nice, atmosphere is really laid back. Conveniently located right off the interstate.

Waited at the “please wait to be seated” sign, while being ignored by the hostess for about 10 minutes, and had to flag down a server to be seated. The prime rib was bland, not cooked to specifications, and the vegetables looked like they came out of a frozen bag you’d buy at the dollar tree. They were also cold and flavorless . The Jo Jo’s, the rolls, and the bison steak were great. Our server was pleasant and on top of things. However, didn’t crack a smile or converse with us until we were about to pay. In total, over priced for the quality and the experience.

Kids are welcome here and have a great selection of meals too. The ambiance of this establishment is right out of many movies that you have seen. The staff are friendly and know their menu!
The 16 OZ Prime Rib is to die for! It comes with the most incredible Ratatouille Soup, mashed potatoes and gravy, beans and biscuit! Heaven on a plate!
The iced tea was nice and chilled which is exactly what is needed on a hot summer day.
The prices are great here and there is plenty of parking so grab yourself a seat and enjoy the feel good cooking!

I ordered a “manly salad” the steak was microwaved, the egg was turning green, the lettuce was an iceberg mix bag from the grocery store and was turning brown. This salad cost $20. There was also an air conditioner unit of some sort above our table that was overed with cardboard and ducktape.

Waited more than an hour and a half for our food that was not the quality we were expecting. Both the chicken fried steak and lasagna came from the freezer and tasted like it. The French fries might have good if they had not.of sat under a heat lamp for a half-hour. The mediocre food wasn’t the worst part of our experience. When explaining our dissatisfaction to their manager, she just got pissy was rude and never appouligised for anything. Maybe she was just having a bad day,, it doesn’t matter as we will not be back.
