TO LIVE AND FRY IN L.A. In 2017, four childhood friends came up with a simple concept — take Nashville Hot Chicken and make it better than anyone else in America. With only a couple thousand dollars to their name, they boot-strapped a pop-up concept in a parking lot in East Hollywood serving a simple menu of tenders, sliders, fries, and kale slaw — they created a viral cult following with lines consistently over an hour long.

I’m from Texas. We have Dave’s hot chicken. I love what they did with this place. I knew this building as chili’s, then British beer company and then the Flight deck. None of them survived. Dave’s will!
The food is amazing. I love the hot and very hot. Super flavorful. The hottest one is hot. But manageable. The issue is that it drowns out the flavor. Definitely try all the stuff. Put honey on your slider. So good.

Wasn’t planning on stopping by but needed something quick. Counter service. Plenty of parking. So glad we stopped by. We shared the 2 chicken sliders, which basically were regular sized sandwiches, as far as I’m concerned. Large pieces of flavorful chicken on a soft bun. The fries were nice and crisp. Dave’s sauce is out of this world. We wil definitely be back.

I was in there tonight please an online order to pick up when I walked in. It was packed. No one had their food if there were three people in the kitchen and one in the front who is also busting his butt running back-and-forth to the back within 20 minutes, they whipped out at least a minimum of 50 containers of food and they truly didn’t look stressed while doing it the the guy at the counter was doing it all he was taking orders. He was packing up orders and he was running in the back to help cook. I was a little worried about the quality of what the food would’ve been, but I have to tell you. It was absolutely delicious. They did not miss a beat great job. I was really impressed.

Was looking forward to the Fallout box but alas they were sold out. But the service was great, very friendly and helpful. I felt the chicken was cooked medium well and rolled around in too much seasoning. The sauces are good and I’m not usually a fan of crinkle fries but these are good.

Really good food! First time trying. The crunch on the chicken is good. The Dave’s sauce is really good. The kale slaw is sooo good. Very good chicken. Flavor is great. The fries were good too!

Enjoyed it very much! I got the hot slider and tender combo, chicken was crispy and juicy. The spice level was great, didn’t take away from the deliciousness of the chicken. The fries are crispy and coated in a yummy seasoning. Loved the dipping sauce.

Heard about this place from a few coworkers and just had to stop in. I was not disappointed!! The chicken was juicy and flavorful. I went for the medium and hot heat levels and they were perfect great vibe inside! Crunchy fries and endless Dave’s sauce (thanks for not charging for it)! Mia and Juan were great. Clean bathrooms. I’d 100% come back!

Delicious! First time going and the workers were helpful with ordering. Great customer service and very friendly! The food came out fast even though it was steady in there. The atmosphere is cool and laid back and most importantly clean!! The food was delicious and has lots of flavor! I highly recommend!

This place is absolutely awful! Took 20 minutes to order, 45 mins to get our food. No napkins, Every table in the place was filthy! We asked 3 times for something to clean the table and they kept telling us to give them a few minutes. The bathrooms were disgusting! Toilets over flowing like a porta potty, trash barrels all over flowing and the trash was piling up on the floor. This was in ever single stall. No one ever came to clean our table or any other table the 90 mins we were there. The food is not good. Had no flavor. Chicken was over cooled and dry. The poor quality Ketchup couldn’t even save the soggy fries. The shakes are worse than McDonald’s. We could hear the ventilation system suffering. As if the filters have never been changed. The quality of air in the place was horrible. Spent over $100.00 and felt like we were eating next to a dumpster.

The soggy fries were hopeless, and even their bargain bin ketchup couldn’t save them. The shakes? Somehow worse than McDonald’s, which is saying something.
To top it off, the ventilation system sounded like it was on life support. The air quality was awful, like the filters hadn’t been changed in years. We spent over $120.00 and felt like we were eating beside a dumpster.
