With roots as far back as Deep Creek itself, Ace’s Run is proud to be part of what makes Will O’ the Wisp so special. The Heise Family has been making memories since the late 40s on this property. Just have a look on the walls in the Pub and the dining room, they are their own family photos. We offer an eclectic menu using local foods from cheeses, eggs, maple syrup, honey, coffee, vegetables, herbs and more. We support our local farmers from Garrett Growers, Casselman Creamery, Firefly Farms and Lakeside Creamery just to name a few.
Large, contemporary New American hangout with lake views, burgers & a lively bar with cocktails.

Tasty Food
Went up to deep creek for a vacation, on the way back went here to have food. The food was freshly made and tasty. We liked the catch of the day sandwich, very good and huge serving of fish.
Service was good, our order took some time to be ready. We spent the time checking out the various artifacts and photographs.
Interesting to see they have the first dollar they recieved farmed and so is a menu from 1965.
Nice place. Worth a visit for sure.
Only note – the crab pretzel wasn’t too astonishing and in my opinion over priced but you could taste and see the crab so I was in not was disappointed
The veggie burger was almost inedible. It was rubbery and cold, un-appetizing. French fries are an upcharge, which feels wrong especially given the fact we both ordered burgers. Just throw the fries in, don’t charge customers more for a typical ‘burger and fries’ meal. The Marsh Mountain burger, $28 (with fries), was massive but filled with onion straws to give the appearance of a substantial burger. The fried pickles were a nice touch though and the burger was cooked just right, but $18-$19 would have been a more appropriate price.
Additionally, the restaurant was freezing. We had a vent under our booth and by the end of the meal, despite moving around to stay warm, my legs were uncomfortable.
Ace’s Run has a nice atmosphere (but very, very cold near vents) right on the lake, with sweeping views. Probably a very popular spot in warmer months. For vegetarians, there aren’t many options and I do not recommend the veggie burger, unless they change brands to a different selection.
