Also Joyce who was our server was AMAZING!!! Loved her!!! She helped with the red velvet cake slice for my friend!! Loved Joyce a lot and we will be requesting her next time!!!
The food was phenomenal! They never fail to amaze me with their scrumptious and delicious food!!! I’ve been coming here for some time and might I add, the fire pit events are also something to die for!!!!
For parking, They also have an optional valet but we chose to park ourselves and there is plenty of parking!
I will definitely be back!!! And my friends are now wanting to make this their top tier place as well!!!!
Our Maitre’D Frank was excellent; he navigated us and our family through the day without a hiccup. The cocktail hour was phenomenal; I recommend extending the cocktail hour as we did because our guests could not get enough of it. The sushi add-on was also a huge hit; our guests were double-fisting plates of sushi. Our guests loved the indoor/outdoor style cocktail area, especially with the weather being great on our wedding day. The passed lamb chops and the crab cakes are a must; they were so good! We went with the hot antipasto station, the carving station, and the seafood paella station. All were a hit, but the fan favorite was the hot antipasto station; everyone was boasting about the fried calamari.
Typically at weddings, the one thing I get frustrated with is long lines at the bar. We had over 130 people at our wedding and there barely was a line at either bartender the entire night long! The bartenders absolutely killed it, especially with some of our guests ordering drinks for their entire table.
Our reception went off without a hitch! We had asked Stone House if we could move our sweetheart table in front of the fireplace instead of in the middle of the dance floor, and they obliged and made our vision happen! Our guests loved the food, as everyone raved about the short rib and passed desserts. The lodge room may seem smaller than a typical venue room, but for a party of around 125 people, it’s plenty of room. The outside lounge is also a great addition, as many guests ventured outside to make s’mores by the fireplace as nightfall came.
The staff at our wedding was very courteous and attentive all night long. They were constantly bringing our guests refills, and made sure to bring everyone passed after dinner drinks and desserts. They even went outside to the fire pits and brought our guests drinks and desserts while they were smoking cigars and lounging.
We cannot stress enough how beautiful and amazing our wedding was at the Lodge at Stone House!
One of the most touching moments was when they added a special signature drink in memory of my father, who passed away a year ago. That thoughtful gesture meant the world to me and made the day even more meaningful.
Throughout the entire planning journey, Sarah and Michelle were always available, answering my calls and easing any worries I had with genuine care. On the wedding day, everything flowed seamlessly thanks to their expert coordination.
We also want to give a huge thank you to Frank and Mercedes, our wonderful bridal attendants, who helped both Rich and me throughout the day. Their support and presence made everything feel even more special and effortless.
Our guests couldn’t stop raving about the delicious food, and the venue itself was stunning—elegant, warm, and beautiful in every detail. Even now, two months later, people are still messaging us to say how much they loved the celebration.
If you want a venue that feels like home, staffed by a team who truly cares, The Stone House at Stirling Ridge is the place. We will cherish our memories here forever!
I ate the west coast halibut with spring vegetables, all cooked to perfection. Desert was the chocolate marquise, very rich flavor.
We all had a great time, atmosphere was wonderful, staff were very nice. The outdoor fireplace was lovely. Unfortunately it was a rainy day, so we did get to use the outdoor seating. I am going back when it is nice and sunny.
The following day I went back for Father’s Day brunch. They had a live musician. My partner ate the miso salmon. Oh my goodness, it was cooked to perfection. Totally delicious. I will be ordering this on my next visit.
I preferred dinner to brunch but overall I would recommend eating here. I will be back.
Thanks for the fabulous food!!
Laura took incredible care of us. Didn’t miss a beat, and we had a wonderful time start to finish. Laura was constantly present yet respectful of the space my two cackling sisters and me demanded. By the end of the meal, she was part of the coven.
We like to do a lot of drinking and smaller plates so we can cover as much menu ground as possible. We started with the gazpacho – and it was unreal. They divided for us without asking! What a lovely touch.
I have two regrettable notes I hesitate to even share bc the overall experience was so delightful:
1) the deviled eggs were so fishy I couldn’t choke down one. I hope my older sister doesn’t see this bc she vehemently disagreed and said it’s a main draw for her and her husband
2) there were gnats legit everywhere. All over me, our food- everything. Again, I hesitate to even mention this bc that means (hopefully) this place isn’t caked with bug spray and chemicals that we shouldn’t be putting into our bodies- but good Lawd was it annoying on a particularly swampy NJ day..
Not only will I be back here- I’ve been coming here for years and have never once had a second thought about coming back.
Don’t think twice. It’s the only place in this area that offers a country setting and food with the volume turned up- like Ina would say.
The cocktails were enjoyable but nothing special. My Bloody Mary was to include bacon and shrimp. The bacon was super dried while the shrimp still felt a bit frozen.
Our entrees had a mixed ratings by our group. Yet we all agreed that it was average in taste and presentation.
The grounds and buildings are the winner here. Nice open spaces within the buildings and plenty of outdoor greenery, plants, trees and shrubs.
Valet parking was very good to have.
My friend brought a small cake, and when we asked for plates, they told us it would be $5 per person unless we ordered at least three desserts. For a birthday celebration, that policy felt cold and completely unnecessary.
The service only got worse. Our drinks were wrong, the staff seemed disorganized, and there was zero attention to detail. They also didn’t have the tomahawk or their ribeye special, both printed on the menu. Why advertise items you can’t stock, especially for a 5:30 PM reservation?
To top it off, when we paid the bill, there was no “thank you,” no “how was your experience,” nothing. The server just went mute and walked away.
Overall, it was a terrible, disappointing experience, especially for such an important occasion. For the price and reputation, I expected so much more. I won’t be returning.
