It was amazing to watch the Chefs pop out so many dishes so quickly. I think our wait time for the food to come out was really good, even though it was a full house.
Our food was perfect. My soup was so good. When the Caesar salad came out, I was skeptical…. It didn’t look like a regular Caesar. It was delicious! So creamy and cheesy. The chicken was already beautifully sliced for me!
My spouses steak was perfectly cooked he said & he raved about the peppercorn butter sauce. His plate had a creamy squash side that was spectacular. But we forgot to ask which type of squash it was. His plate also had small sweet asparagus.
We had to take desert to go. When we tried the cakes they were 5 layers and each very good. Next time, I want the cheesecake. (I saw one at the table next to us!)
My wife and I finally went today for our anniversary. I am glad we did , the food was Amazing and the service was perfect. This will be our restaurant we go o weekly for now on . We live in Hastings so it is a little bit of a drive . But it is definitely worth it . I would recommend this restaurant to anyone . I would have gave it a 5 star for Atmosphere but we sat right next to the door .
They really excel in seafood in my opinion. Their best dish of the ones I tried were the whitefish.
Expansive and great desert menu too.
The interior is nothing special, but honestly who really cares at this point. It is obviously a local gem!
Our waitress was wonderful. She was super outgoing and she knew the menu very well (They don’t always!). We started with drinks. I got the Shamrock “Shake” (Case sensitive) and my wife got the Endless Summer. The “Shake” was delicious, it really did taste like an alcoholic shamrock shake! And my wife’s endless summer lives up to its name, as it’s very refreshing and definitely gives off a summer vibe.
Next we got an appetizer. We decided to get the mesquite beef skewer. It comes medium rare, and that’s fine because that’s the only way high quality beef should. And man was it good! And yes, it actually was medium rare! And the steak itself was nicely seasoned and flavored, yum!!
For my entree I got the Whitefish Grenoble. That was darn good! That sauce with the capers is what makes it, but the whitefish itself is cooked well too! My wife got the pork chop. She let me try a bit of it and man, that’s a solid pork chop!
And lastly, dessert! And don’t worry, I knew ahead of time that this place is known for their desserts! I got the Black bottom pie and my wife got the peanut butter pie. Neither of them disappointed, and they’re massive! I usually have a pretty big appetite and I had to bring the rest home! Overall an awesome dinner and we’ll be back
Update 8/14/24: Visited to celebrate our parents’ anniversary. Again did not disappoint! We ordered: Boursin Stuffed Portobello and of course the brie-Chili Rubbed Flank Steak w/Gorgonzola Cream & Jalapeno Relish – Roasted Pork Tenderloin w/Smoked Maple Sage – Vegetarian Potato Pea Curry and Turtle Cheesecake. Great service and great experience!
Update 8/14/25: Still on point!! Met up with work colleagues for dinner on Thursday. Had the Filet Mignon w/Bearnaise & Red Wine Mushroom & Big Lake Braised Beef. Banana cream pie for dessert, so good!!
