Daytime bakery for NYC-style kosher bagels & classic Jewish fare in a simple counter-serve space.

Had a sizable catering order they completely forgot to make. Came an hour after it was supposed be ready and they took 10 minutes to look for it before realizing the order receipt was sitting on the counter and nobody paying attention to it. We asked for a discount or at the very least coffee while we waited and they insisted on charging us extra for everything with no apology or remorse. No wonder one of their other locations went out of business. Their service was known to be awful and it’s just as bad here.

Fresh, authentic New York–style bagels with a perfect chew, paired with rich coffee that starts the day right. The staff is friendly, the service is quick, and the atmosphere feels warm and welcoming. A great spot for breakfast or a casual coffee break—highly recommended!

Stopped here for breakfast on a drive through Baltimore. Locals seem to really like this place, but for a visitor it was very confusing.
There are 5 points of ordering across 3 counters. Each one was inconsistently staffed even during the half hour we were there. It was not clear which line to stand in or who to order from, and they did not have a menu posted.
Some items were brought to the table, while others were left at the counter for us to pick up.
The food itself was good. The shakshouka was well-cooked and the bagel was good quality. The coffee was terrible.
I wouldn’t go here again, unless it was just to get bagels and walk out.

After ordering from friendly cashier, had my toasted jalapeño bagel with lox spread and capers within 3 minutes. Good food and service made for a nice breakfast. A+

My mom and I met with Romela at Goldberg’s New York Bagels and Coffee to discuss catering ideas for my son’s upcoming Bar Mitzvah. She took the time to sit down with us and answered all of our questions, offering helpful ideas about the best ways we could serve and present food for our guests. We greatly appreciate her help and support and feel encouraged about the food for our milestone event. Thank you!

Went to check out their bagels. I’ve only picked up catering platters for work but never have tried myself. (I will say they helped me out tremendously with a last minute kosher platter.) it was very busy in there and it was a bit confusing on where to order. Found a table and our bagels came out very quickly! We tried a sesame flat, sesame bagel with cream cheese and a Black Russian bagel with whitefish. To say my boyfriend was a happy guy is an understatement. He thoroughly enjoyed the bagels and whitefish. We also picked up some rugelachs. The only negative for me was it was a bit messy, especially the bathroom. But in their defense, there was a steady stream of people coming through. We will go back again soon!

Food was fine but the service and interaction was not good at all. I placed two catering orders online (order over $600 for a big event at work) for delivery 3 days later at 8AM. I did not receive my order until 8:45 AM by two different drivers and one had the wrong address. We had to bring the food in ourselves, the order didn’t leave until very late, there were no trays or utensils for the bagels (in a paper bag) and fruit. It was a nightmare trying to setup food for our “Welcome Breakfast” to our new building and had to find utensils and something to place the bagels in. Warning: if you’re tax-exempt, do not place an order online. Call in your order and stay on the line though the recording states they are not open. Otherwise, you will not be able to remove the taxes from your order. I had high hopes of using this place for future orders but unfortunately, that will not be the case.

I have been a huge fan of this bagel shop even before they moved into this location; literally from 2001 – the bagels were always fresh and delish, the tuna salad on an everything bagel was ahhh-mazing! Went for breakfast on January 2 with a friend, so excited to introduce her to delish bagel as I remember it … and it was just a disappointment:
The bagels were much smaller, didn’t have the same crunch and feel as I remember; the “lox” platter barely had any lox for one side of the bagel… yet also a whole tomato. The “powerhouse” sandwich bagel was dry and had no flavor… just a bunch of random veggies. I hope that maybe it was just a bad day to visit… def not discouraging anyone to not eat there – it’s such an icon spot for Pikesville. – but be thoughtful of your order. The two sandwiches we got unfortunately didn’t look worthy of a pic :/

The food was good. However, the service really needs improvement. I came with my husband and two children. I tried ordering everything on the kiosk, but they only had 4 types of bagels listed (meaning it’s not synced with what is actually there) so I couldn’t order my son what he wanted. I placed the rest of our orders on the kiosk, while my husband stood in line to order a bagel w cream cheese for my son. It took 45 minutes for them to bring out the bagel w cream cheese and 54 minutes (there was a check out time on the receipt so I kept track) to get the orders placed via the kiosk. We didn’t order anything complicated (two orders of eggs on bagels-which ended up actually being on the side, and an order of blintzes). A table of four women near us waited 45 minutes for their order so we were not the exception. I understand it is a Sunday (order placed right before 11:30) and things get busy on Sundays, but it does not seem there are systems in place to support the staff and it seemed like they were understaffed in the kitchen. I am greatly disappointed in the service.

From placing the order to receiving the food took 27 minutes. The server, when asked about the delay, lashed out that the kitchen was busy.
The complete disregard for customers is a stark contrast to the Goldberg’s I grew up with.
The fact Baltimore finds this acceptable is honestly disgusting.
I’m not even going to mention the overpriced coffee which was essentially coffee-flavored water.
They didn’t have basic bagel options and I had to resort to a Honey Whole Wheat as the bagel store was out of Whole Wheat in the middle of breakfast hours.
Every time I come, I promise myself this will be the last time. I return a year or so later and the service is even worse than the previous time.
I hope this review opens the eyes of management that they should stop opening arguably bad restaurants and fix the issues plaguing the current ones.
I plead to management to please fix these issues.
I will update this review if necessary changes are implemented. Until then, 1 star is all this place deserves. I don’t make this decision lightly.
