We stopped in late Friday afternoon and were seated immediately. Our server was incredibly knowledgeable, sharing the history of Taylor’s (which has been around for over a century), explaining the nuances of local oysters, and walking us through the regional geography and the wine and drink menu. Being able to learn about what we were eating while enjoying it made the experience feel much more personal and memorable.
Even though we came in casually for drinks and oysters, the attention to detail and genuine hospitality made the visit feel special. One highlight was learning about the marine biologist who personally harvests the sea urchins, which had been fished less than 24 hours before arriving at the restaurant. The freshness was unbelievable, and the uni was honestly one of the best things I’ve ever eaten.
We came around 7 PM and didn’t have to wait at all. The service was friendly and efficient. Highly recommend this place for anyone who loves fresh seafood!
The oysters were truly the highlight of the visit—plump, briny, and served with an assortment of house-made sauces that elevated their natural flavors. I sampled a variety of shellfish, including clams, mussels, and crab legs, all of which were impeccably fresh and prepared with a light touch that allowed the seafood’s natural sweetness to shine. Their signature seafood platter was a masterpiece, piled high with delicacies that looked as stunning as they tasted.
Beyond the food, the service was prompt and attentive without being intrusive. The chef even took time to check in and share some insights about the day’s catch, which made the experience feel personalized. Every bite reminded me of why I love seafood, and I left feeling both satisfied and impressed. I highly recommend this oyster bar to anyone who appreciates premium shellfish and exceptional dining.
Tip: Try the mixed platter first, then take notes on your phone about your top 3–5 favorites. Order the ones you love the most again so you can really enjoy them. The Riesling wine here also pairs very well with the seafood.
The food is really good here. I recommend mix oyster platter the “Shuckers Dozen”, A Dozen of Curated Oysters direct from Taylor’s own Farms. Thus you could have taste the variety of the Oyster and order what you like the most later. The Mussels Classic Steamer together with the sourdough is the best. The best time to avoid peak is around 1:30-3:30 pm
We came to this location and there is parking just across the street with easy access to this location. Love that the oysters are in tanks in the seating area and such a fresh smell. We ordered the sampling of most of the oysters and all were great and a few were fantastic.
What really made this visit over the top fantastic was that they had fresh SEA URCHIN that was incredible. Not sure if this is normal to have sea urchin, but we scored this time.
Definitely, Taylors is a fantastic place to eat oysters and has got better as we’ve gone to Taylors for years.
