Did not disappoint for breakfast food – the pumpkin pancakes were delicious and the country scramble and ultimate omelette were great as well. We arrived at 1:30pm and only waited around 10 mins for a table. I wish they were open past 2:30pm but maybe that’s just me!

We go here about twice a month on the weekend for the Benedict of the month, waffles and pancakes. Wish they would add the huevos rancheros to the menu year round. I’d go every week. Also love that they have the extra hot Texas Pete!

For me, this restaurant is not as good as it used to be. As someone who does not live locally, maybe it’s been my luck that I was not wowed with the food as I was originally. This has been my experience on the last 2 visits. I must say after being in VB 2 weeks before coming to NC and eating amazing crab cakes, the crab cake at Briggs was decent and better than expected. Overall not a bad meal now, just not as I remember.

I tried Brigs today for the first time with a hankering for breakfast food. We had about a thirty minute wait on a Sunday for two people. I had a griddle combo with chocolate chip pancakes, scrambled eggs and bacon. My partner had the works omlette with French toast. Our food came out within 10 minutes and was hot and flavorful. Our server was quick, knowledgeable and friendly. I would definitely be back to try their other selections.

I have eaten here many times. It is my go to for a simple filling breakfast at a reasonable price. I qualify for the Senior specials and sometimes take advantage of those.
This time I ordered the works minus the tomatoes, home fries, and English muffins. I like grits but am leary of ordering them out. I want them slow cooked with salt. Here, I got for the home fries. I usually get coffee. It is fine but not gourmet and no fancy add ins. This is a mom and pop style place. Friendly. Filling. Not gourmet but they have monthly specials plus pan cakes and waffles. They also serve lunch and dinner. You can get breakfast all day.
Good food. Nice folks.

I’ve been going to Brigs for years. Their pancakes are huge and such a good deal for the 2 pancake combo. I love that they change up the flavors every month to give you a reason to come back and try something new or to get the thing you loved when it returns! Like for October and November with the pumpkin pancakes! I got the 2 pancake combo this morning with homefries and scrambled eggs. Pancakes were fluffy and moist, they didn’t need syrup at all and were perfect as always. The homefries were a little overcooked, but still seasoned well and the eggs were well… Eggs. I also got he Mac and cheese to try and that was a hell of a lot better than I expected. SUPER cheesy and plenty of bacon bits on the top. I loved these. Coffee was delicious! Brigs is probably my favorite brunch place for the affordability, flavor and amount of food for your $.
Pumpkin pancakes – 9/10
Home fries – 6.8/10 (on a normal day they are usually 8.5/10l
Mac & cheese – 9/10
Eggs – They’re scrambled eggs/10 (It’s pretty difficult to mess up scrambled eggs )

The atmosphere was nice. The restaurant seemed clean. The food was not good at all. The potatoes had a soapy taste to them and the ingredients overall didn’t seem fresh. Probably the worse breakfast I’ve had in Raleigh.

Great price and it was a good experience to try the talk of the town breakfast joint. The wait was long but that’s because of the popularity the food came right out for us. I enjoyed my meal at Briggs.

This is an old Raleigh staple that I have been to multiple times over the years, and I can’t recommend it enough! The atmosphere is always warm and inviting, making it the perfect spot to relax and enjoy a meal. The service was outstanding—attentive, friendly, and quick, without feeling rushed.
I ordered the Ultimate Omelet, and it was delicious! It was packed with fresh ingredients, cooked perfectly, and bursting with flavor. The portion size was generous, and every bite was satisfying. Whether you’re looking for a hearty breakfast or a casual place to catch up with friends, this place is a must-visit. I’ll definitely be returning soon!
