TO LIVE AND FRY IN L.A. In 2017, four childhood friends came up with a simple concept — take Nashville Hot Chicken and make it better than anyone else in America. With only a couple thousand dollars to their name, they boot-strapped a pop-up concept in a parking lot in East Hollywood serving a simple menu of tenders, sliders, fries, and kale slaw — they created a viral cult following with lines consistently over an hour long.

Ordered Daves hot chicken on door dash. My lunch arrived in a sealed bag. When I opened it the chicken tenders were missing. I called the restaurant they said I could come pick them up or come another day and I could get the missing tenders. I can’t leave work so picking them up was not a option. I will never order from there again horrible customer service. They should have sent me the tenders.

Love Dave’s, but this location was a big miss. Every table was sticky and gross feeling. Bun on sandwich was ice cold. Chicken itself was good. Fries were half fresh and half cold. Customer service was meh, seemed disinterested in providing service.

Took my nephew to Dave’s hot chicken for the first time since he has been asking for weeks now. He loved his visit, the chicken was fresh, juicy & delicious we definitely loved the fries. The staff there was amazing especially Cynthia was really nice when greeting us, answering our questions and Faviola was amazing tending to my nephews questions about refills, Also thank you for the extra fries he enjoyed them.

Place makes good food. Never a problem there. But the store always seems to be dirty. The employees never wipe down the tables during the day. Every time I go to this location, the tables and areas around them are filthy. Trash or crumbs all over and around the tables, and the tables are disgustingly sticky. Also they tend to have the music Blairing way to loud. To the point where i can’t even hear the Cashier while takimg my order. I get playing music, but it’s obnoxiously loud most the time i go in.

Dave’s Hot Chicken is insane in the best way possible. The chicken is always juicy, crispy, and packed with flavor, and the spice levels actually mean something—from mild to “why did I do this,” they don’t mess around. The sliders are perfect, the fries are seasoned just right, and that sauce ties everything together. Service is fast, the vibes are cool, and the food hits every single time. If you want hot chicken that lives up to the hype, this is the spot.

The atmosphere was great! I was greeted by Kenia and Lyla at the front and when I picked up my order. They were so helpful for my first time at this place. The food was also amazing! We stopped here on our way to LA and Angie welcomed us and was very polite, helpful and a hard worker. She’s amazing and made this visit a good one, we left with full bellies and smiles thanks to her friendly demeanor, I saw her interact with everyone the same way as well, will definitely be back again!
