Social Profile:

Since the early days of Little Star Pizza in San Francisco, we have taken enormous pride in serving our award-winning deep dish and thin crust pizzas. By offering organic salads, appetizers made from scratch, house made dressings and sauces, and fresh dough tossed daily, our once small pizzeria has blossomed into a dynamic neighborhood restaurant. Beyond dozens of signature dishes, our bar serves artisan cocktails, carefully selected wines and beer in an elegant yet comfortable environment. We treat our guests like family, invest in our employees, and use responsible and high quality ingredients.

A busy chain outpost known for deep-dish pies with cornmeal crust, but it rolls thin crust too.

Casual but nice atmosphere. First came here to celebrate a friend’s milestone birthday in a group of 8. Been back several times for the food, location, and service. It’s one of my favorite spots to stop at on our way to San Francisco. Parking can be a little tough but you can find it (check the parking lot in the back).

The pizzas are amazing, great variety, fresh, high quality ingredients. The salads and appetizers are also great. They also have a full bar if you want to get down like that

Chicken wings are excellent. I usually don’t like ranch, but best ranch dip I’ve ever had and now prefer it here. Pizza deep dish and Detroit style is superb. I need to try more things on their menu, I keep sticking with what I’ve tried. Highly recommend. Always have done take out. Will need to try dine in soon. Great location

Who doesn’t love pizza. This pizza joint was highly recommended in Albany. I hate the parking as it’s only street parking. The restaurant is easy to find. Plenty of seats and good for groups. The restaurant is modern and nicely decorated.

We ordered two large pizza’s. One is a thin crust Chicken Pesto. It was very good but pesto is really strong. We also ordered the Detroit style All star pizza. These were pretty good. We also ordered their large Caesar salad for the family. That was pretty good even if the leaves were whole and had to cut it up. I had a sangria as well, and it was good and strong.

Service was very good. Prices are little pricey though but I enjoyed myself there. They were training a new hire but they still served us well. I think I would come back again if in the area.

Great food, great atmosphere and service.

The California Pizza, the All-Star Pizza, spicy chicken wings and the Cheesy garlic bread are all great and good options. Highly recommend

Little Star Pizza serves genuinely great pizza — excellent crust, flavor, and quality. Staff and service were solid, and the food itself deserves high marks.

My rating is lower because the surrounding parking enforcement situation significantly affected the experience. I received a $50 parking ticket during my visit, which effectively became an added cost on top of the meal. That turns what should be a relaxed dining stop into a time-pressured one.

I understand the restaurant does not control city parking rules, and this is not a complaint about the staff or food. It’s about the overall customer experience in the area. Because of this experience, I will not be visiting Albany businesses for the next six months — including restaurants, shops, fuel stops, and specialty stores — and will choose Berkeley instead, where the parking expectations feel clearer and more predictable.

If the parking environment changes, I’d return. The pizza is worth it.

Ordered the happy hour meatballs they tasted alright . The wings awesome. The pizza was good as well. Beers on happy hour ipa. The waitress not that good. Had to track her down every time we needed something. They were not busy. Other waitress had more customers and was on her toes. Men’s bathroom was broken. Next time I’ll just order to go.

The Old School is my favorite with garlic and olives. Definitely try the Detroit style pizza, the cheese and toasty crust is so good! They also have really great ranch and cheese (not basic at all) and adds a nice compliment to the pizza. They have a parking lot and a cute take out window to make it easy. Inside the vibes are great and the restaurant is super kid friendly. One of my favorite pizza places in town.

I’ve been here multiple times for both take out and dine in and it’s always a great experience. The food is great I usually get the thin crust little star or california thin crust with a black basil drink. They are pet friendly in the sense of you can sit outside with your dog and they usually offer them some water which I think is very sweet. Tonight I went with some family + my dog and the extremely kind waitress even offered my dog some bacon as a treat which was so sweet of her.

Little Star Pizza has really good deep-dish pizza and is pretty much always worth the visit. It’s a popular spot, so service can slow down at times, especially during peak hours, but that’s expected given how busy they get. I like supporting this local Bay Area-owned chain, and the quality keeps me coming back.

My go-to orders are the meat lovers pizza, the spinach and feta cheese pizza, and the meatball and ricotta pizza. The meatballs are especially good, flavorful and well-seasoned. Overall, a great spot for deep-dish when you’re craving something hearty and satisfying.

This is the best deep dish pizza in the Bay Area. They have excellent cornmeal crust, which is the thing that pushes them over the top. In addition, their tomato sauce and sausage are definitely Chicago style, and this is one of the few pizza places I have found that would actually survive in Chicago
