Social Profile:

The founders had humble beginnings, starting up the pizza business in a single room in the back of Casa Vieja, which can still be found north of Village Pizza on Corrales Rd. From Casa Vieja, the shop moved into the old adobe building that was a house, turned bar, turned Mongolian restaurant and then turned it into Village Pizza. The work was not easy, and most of the construction changes were done by the owners themselves with some help from family and friends. Today Village Pizza has grown into two locations, but we are still making the same pizza that has been loved and consumed by the Village of Corrales and Albuquerque for almost 3 decades.

We stopped in for dinner- and got the village pizza and basic salad which were both good! I was turned off by the first thing upon entry seeing a rodent trap, a bug wall trap next to our table and a very neglected floor area under the front bar/fridges. The drink station is also weird, kind of self serve but kind of not….
The pizza took while to come out which I don’t mind because it was glorious and fresh and gave us plenty of time to eat our large salad but it was delivered to another table, left at that table with the couple then taken back to the kitchen then brought to our table. I told the waitress and she said they could “rush” a fresh one but considering we’d already waited about 30 minutes and the restaurant was much busier I just decided to keep the one they brought to us.

Wow!! Just, wow! The ambience is wonderful. Perfect for large groups and small intimate dates.

Please, if you swing by and try any of the delicious food, ask for Vita. Vita exudes what customer service is all about. She was kind, friendly, fast, and helpful.

The food was outrageously good. From the soup to the pizza and the wings in between. We ate like kings and enjoyed every bite.

Was greeted at the door and given a menu, told to give order at the front. When we sat down it felt empty, decor is poor and lost its comfortable home feel. After a while people were being sat down to order which was strange since we had to order standing by the door. It was slow yet we had to get plates, drinks as well as silverware on our own. The food was excellent as it has been for the last 12 years.

I love this place. Not only for the tap beer but as well as their wings very well kept secret. Since most people go for their Pizza and their beer, but the wings are so good here, always ask for a side of extra hot sauce and ranch for them. If you order out, then just beware that there’s only one packet of veggies of celery and carrots given, but when you order in, it is a big plate of veggies and wings together, love it.

Service:
Dang. These people are so helpful, friendly, and just know how to make it happen. Mireya helped me at the register, and her friendliness and kindness really stood out. She needs a raise, like now. She was never without a smile, and was willing to be patient with people’s questions, and providing service, even when the rush was going on. Enoch was super helpful with accommodating us, ensuring that we had a comfortable time in the dining room. I was concerned that it would be too hot in the dining room, and he went out of his way to make sure the ceiling fans were turned on, even when he wasn’t sure that they were operational. This crew rules!

Food:
Our food came out very promptly, without having to ask them to check on our order. And it didn’t come out too fast, so we know the food was made with care and it took time to make. The pizza was amazing. I ordered a smoked ham pie, half with pineapple, and half with bell pepper. So good! The sauce was sweet and flavorful, without stealing the show. The cheese was perfectly melted, and the toppings were neither too little, nor too much. The crust was perfectly cooked, to where you could hold a slice from the crust and it wouldn’t flop. So crispy and flavorful.

Atmosphere: Very homey, with lots of character very clearly shown throughout the whole restaurant. It’s a great place to sit and eat. My only criticism is that there was no music playing, but it wasn’t that big of a deal. It’s pretty much a non-issue.

Eat here!

The pizza here is great. It did take a bit for the pizza to come out but like everything that is good, it takes time. I really enjoyed my small pepperoni pizza. Has a nice crunch but also fluffy. Definitely if you’re in the area give Village Pizza a try.

As someone who has been coming here since I was little (had a b-day party here like every other regular) what the hell happened to this place? Now when you walk in you order at the front and have to grab your drink, plates, napkins and silverware to take back to your table. They give you a number to bring your food to you, but all the staff are still walking around veryyyyy lost and guessing on what you ordered. I’m not able to attach a picture of what their breadsticks look like, but they’re as thin as a pinky now and we all remember how they used to look. Pizza is still great (thank the lord) but no one comes to check on you (even with an overhead of about 10+ employees and they’re all kinda hanging around) and you’re basically at a fast food place. For how much they charge…we’re definitely not returning to what USED TO BE a great neighborhood joint.

Nice atmosphere! The salad and bread sticks was delicious, ordered wings but the batched looked unnatural if you know what I’m saying. Pizza was okay nothing to brag about. Price is decent if you order for one person. Be aware you will be charged for anything you order outside of what is on the original order. Like extra toppings is $2-3 extra and side of ranch is extra (salad) just be careful.

Love the food and the patio option for seating so you can sit outside when it’s perfect weather of you can sit inside in the air conditioning, employees are great always polite and respectful clean environment even for being outside. Pizza is a good size good potions for the price come out and enjoy the patio on a wonderful NM day!

We were part of a large group with a pizza buffet style meal. Pizza was very good with a lot of different toppings combinations to enjoy. Two types of salad were also included. My only critique would be that the ranch dressing had very little flavor, which was disappointing. Overall, though, we enjoyed our meal and will definitely be back.
