I visited Newks Eatery in Birmingham, AL, for the very first time yesterday, and I’m already planning my next trip! The experience was overwhelmingly positive.
Let’s start with the food. I ordered the Avocado Turkey sandwich, and it was delicious. The combination was fresh and satisfying. I’ll note that the breading on the turkey was a little thick for my personal taste, but it was still very good and didn’t ruin the sandwich at all. For dessert, I had a slice of cake, which was clearly fresh and well-prepared—a perfect sweet ending.
The service was fast and friendly, making the lunch break efficient and pleasant. The store was clean and well-lit, contributing to a comfortable and inviting atmosphere.
My only critique would be the price. At $14.00, the meal felt a bit more than acceptable for what you get, leaning toward the higher side for a casual lunch.
Overall, my first visit to Newks Eatery was a success. The good food, clean environment, and speedy service outweighed the slightly high price. I will definitely be back to try more of the menu!

Imagine if you went to a Panera that did not give the slightest care about calories that is what Newks is like. No, fruit or unnecessary pieces of bread after you already have a sandwich on your order. Now the salad was dressed a little bit too much for my liking.I would have ordered my dressing on the side.But the portions were appropriate, and I was able to get myself a little bottle of wine. The young man who took my order ( and brought me my food) was awsome. Checked up with me to make sure it was good and really went above and beyond. ( making my visit a solid 5 stars. ( well the food was great too) if managment see’s this, make sure you let him know what a great job hes doing. Will def be back

What a major improvement!!! Like night and day! Every pizza we ordered (five of them) were arranged to perfection. The last order I had on Jan. 30 was subpar and not visually appealing, BUT THIS ORDER was “chef’s kiss” the Newk’s I remember! Thank you for the improvement and for a wonderful experience.
My father in law was in from out of town and he wanted pizza so we gave y’all a second chance. I’m so glad we did!

Never again!! While on my lunch break walk, I stopped here thinking it was a good choice. While the service was great and friendly. I waited almost 20 min for a half chicken bacon club with barely anything on it resembling a sandwich. Thank goodness that I had some Milo’s Honey Mustard in my office desk because this thing was dry as hell. My 4 year old nephew could have made this better. I hope the slice of cake and fruit tastes better than this “sandwich”. Update: the fruit cup tastes old. They couldn’t put much chicken in my sandwich because it’s in my fruit cup . It’s small pieces like this all throughout the cup.

This Newk’s location in particular on the Southside in Birmingham always has the nicest staff in there and they provide great customer service. We love eating there and picking up. The orders are made quickly and are as fresh as it gets!

At lunchtime today at Newks down town I had the pleasure of having the Best cashier ever. Our order was prepared so fast. The food was so good and prepared very hot. I ordered 6 pizza and 3 salads. The cashier has the Best customer service. I didn’t get her name but the time was around 12:00 and she been working there for some time. Please acknowledge her in your meeting as she is an asset to the company.
