Had reservations for my daughter’s birthday & that was last minute. When we arrived we were greeted respectfully! The ambiance was so warm,elegant and welcoming. The table had a beautiful lit ballon,birthday card! Now I have to brag we had THE BEST WAITER ADAM(Austin,tx location) he was very attentive & it wasn’t overbearing at all. He explained EVERY complimentary deliciousness that we were given n full detail. He made the experience even more welcoming for me and my daughter. I will b back for more dates/birthdays & anniversaries etc…

Food was excellent. One of the best steaks Ive had in Austin (45 day dry aged ribeye) cooked perfectly at Rare+. We also had the beet salad and lobster bisque. Both were super flavorful.

A must try for Valentine’s Day! Easily one of the best steakhouses we’ve ever been to. Our waitress Samarya was very sweet, attentive, and quick with service. The Valentine’s menu was incredible, from caviar and oysters to the perfectly cooked steaks and delicious desserts. Most definitely our new go-to spot for celebrations.

This place is the definition of best of both worlds. This has to be the best hands on service i’ve experienced in Austin. Our server took amazing care of us! Shout out to JUS for elevating the experience through his bourbon cart, overall just an incredible team. You get fine dining mixed with a fun and energetic environment that feels alive. The food is top tier, the wine selection is enormous, there’s absolutely nothin I wasn’t blown away by.I didn’t catch the servers name, but we thank him, the chef, Jus and the rest of the team for making our night special.

My wife and I dined at J-Prime on Valentines day this year. I have been to JP on multiple other occasions, and this time was the most disappointing I have ever had. For a pre-fixed menu, you’d expect service to be relatively attentive and the courses to be spaced properly. The courses had large gaps between each one, the server was not attentive to our table and a few around, but I do not want to speak for others, as they may have had a different experience. We ended up asking for our food to go just to get out at that point. The music was fun, but playing modern pop at a nicer steakhouse could have been easily avoided. I am not price-sensitive, but when the amuse bouche is a literal pancake 2/10, both apps were 6/10, and the oyster Rockefeller was clearly sitting on expo for too long. The lobster bisque may have been a pudding, while the Caesar salad was overdressed and among the smallest portions of the meal. I will say the steak was fantastic and perfectly cooked, and the scallops were a hit – the potential is there, but the lead-up into what y’all do great cratered the meal. The max and cheese side had no depth of flavor, but the truffle essence was great. The crab fried rice should be entirely taken off the menu – clumpy, too wet, and not properly balanced – simply needs help. The desserts were 5/10.
Overall, the negative experience with the service, cramped seating, music, and food made me seriously question the value of the meal as we left JP with a $386 dent in what felt like a case of being cheated. In the end, I wish we had gone elsewhere.

Absolutely fantastic experience in every way! Lorna was our server and it was truly a next level experience. You can tell she really cares about doing a great job. We were blow away by the level of service. Big thanks to her for making our son’s 31st bday an experience.
The maître D Anastasia came by multiple times to fold napkins and clear dishes. Her leadership is evident when watching how the staff all work to make every table reek of perfection.
The food was unbelievably good but I can’t get over the staff at this restaurant. Every interaction wasn’t good it was experiential. I am so impressed. I highly recommend enjoying a dry aged steak and a few sides. Settle in for an experience!

We went to J-Prime to celebrate my boyfriend’s birthday and had such an amazing experience! The Restaurant Week menu was outstanding every dish was delicious. Our waiter Jesus went above and beyond to make the night special. We couldn’t have asked for a better celebration. Highly recommend!
