Manhattan can certainly be proud of this family-owned burger icon – a local institution since 1964. The amazing original sign still beckons from the hill, its neon well-maintained and working! When I stepped inside, I was immediately greeted by a friendly staff, who quickly took my order and delivered a delicious burger combo that did not disappoint. If you are a local who may be thinking that you haven’t visited in a while — GO! And if you are a visitor, like I was, definitely put it on your itinerary. Highly recommended!

Just a great old fashioned hamburger joint experience. Fries are good, burgers are good, shakes and fudge sundaes and ice cream brownies are good. Prices are reasonable for what you get. Additionally, they add sales tax into the price so you can easily calculate your bill in your head and give even change. Quick service and a nice atmosphere top off the experience.

Food here has come quite a ways. Fresh beef for the burgers instead of the old pre packed patties made a big difference. Fries were crispy and the service was quick. Miss the old arcade games they had upfront however, if they bring those back it’s five stars across the board! Just as good as Five Guys, at a third of the price. Always a solid choice for lunch!

Food was good, drive in style. Prices were fair! The gal who took our order was friendly, but my issue was how many dirty tables there were. There wasn’t a lot of people in the restaurant but for some reason, there was a lot of workers… but not a lot of them were working. There was 8 tables that needed to be cleared/cleaned off and it was very obvious the girl who was cleaning them, didn’t want to be there.
With that being said, the food was fine and I would go back if others suggested it.

Honestly, 5s across the board. It’s a cute time piece that separates its atmosphere and food (and prices) apart from the major brands that look horrible and over-corporatized. I loved the food and experience. Worth the slight drive away from the MHK strip!

This is such a good burger joint! My first time hitting this place up. I’m not from around here and have seen this on google maps itself when looking for food, but I finally committed and gave it a go. Shame I didn’t try this sooner. It’s like a smash burger, minimal ingredients and good flavor. I even grabbed myself a corn dog and that was cooked well also I wish I was in town longer to have come back and tried some more options because the menu here is huge. I’m sure it can satisfy most cravings. This place looks old school alone and it’s comforting, with a hot meal, and great atmosphere. The wait wasn’t long and the staff was nice.

Great family dining. Large indoor seating in a sunny room. Chicken strips and onion rings better than average. Not your ordinary fast food place. Hubby says it’s the best hamburger in the business!

I tried Vista Drive In after seeing a post online in a local FB page. I make it up to Manhattan occasionally for work and decided to try them out and was not disappointed.
I got the tri-burger with cheese and bacon and a side of fries. Nothing fancy with the ingredients but it was delicious nonetheless. Burger patties were juicy and very flavorful.
Definitely a nice little local spot for a burger. Bonus points for the location: Sorta feels like Colorado next to the “mountain” per se.
