Decided to stop up in the area grab some grub food. Saw this place online stopped in. Great atmosphere wonderful staff I loved the curved booths with the high top. We ordered two items. Steak quesadilla and the cheeseburger. The state quesadilla , although I knew was an appetizer, was very small. Very disappointed in the proportion as well as the fact that the steak which was there wasn’t much at all and was not distributed evenly through the pieces. The cheeseburger came out and automatically I thought of one of my quotes. “The sandwich is only good as the roll you put it on.” Why people continue to use an oversized kaiser roll that weighs half the amount of the entire sandwich perplexes me. On top of the fact that the roll was either a freezer burned or stale as you can see from the flaky top. An attempt to cut it in half to share made it impossible to have equal pieces as the roll was way too much for the meat. The only thing about the food that was good was the presentation. Probably will stop back in again for the great service and the comfortable booth but doubt I will be eating. Only there for a drink or two

From the outside, you just don’t ever know what to expect but…First, our waitress Angelina was amazing! The food is wonderful and Josh is the greater bartender ever I heard! He came to our table as some guests had questions and he catered to their wishes. I came to celebrate my friend’s birthday and we had brunch. The Bloody Mary was on point and the breakfast tots were amazing. Reasonably priced, service again was amazing and I just love the whole vibe this restaurant offers. Bathrooms are flawless! I never knew of this place before but I’ll definitely be returning and brining my peeps.

Bartenders Cass and Widjen were awesome! It was my first time there for brunch this Saturday. I had the egg sandwich and my husband had the eggs Benedict.The food was delicious and came out quickly. The portion sizes were generous, so we even had leftovers. Our Bloody Marys were absolute perfection. Both girls were friendly, and attentive even with a full bar. This is my new brunch spot.

The bartender was completely clueless. She talked so much she forgot drink orders and food orders. I ordered drinks 3 times before I go them. I ordered food and that never came so I finally cash out and left. She would take your order and then go talk to someone and forget the order. I couldn’t tell you what the food was like. Didn’t get it!!

My wife and I stopped in a few days ago, we are traveling and unfamiliar with the area. We were a little hesitant, read that Newark was a big college town. The food was very good, but it was the service that really touched us. Our waitress, Widgen took such genuine care of us. My wife has several dietary restrictions, and is extremely anxious at new restaurants, but the young lady sat with us, looked over the menu, and made her feel completely at ease. It’s been a long time since I’ve seen my wife relax like that while dining out. Another nice waitress came by to check on us as well and mentioned she was training widjin — which amazed us, because both of them carried themselves with such professionalism.
I rarely ever write reviews, but this visit stayed with us. We’re from the West Coast, and after 30 years of marriage, my wife and I agreed this was one of the sweetest dates we’ve had in a long time. The food, the service, the warmth of the place — it all made us feel young again. Definitely check it out.

Used to be my fav go to spot but things have gone downhill. Burger patty was literally about 2 inches in diameter! Rest was all bun! Emailed the restaurant to inform and no response given. Cold fries. Sadly, not what it used to be.

My burger was excellent. The fries could have been a little more seasoned but our waiter brought more seasoning. I hadn’t been here for over a decade. I’m glad I came back. Now my son felt his French dip was a bit bland, but my Shemp Burger was great.

On a Friday, me and my boyfriend stopped in looking to have an enjoyable evening out. Upon arrival we were barely acknowledged and when we were, it seemed like our waitress barely wanted to interact with us. Super unwelcoming, and when she brought my drink she slammed it down and said nothing. To say my drink was disgusting is highly an understatement as I couldn’t even finish it. We wanted to cancel our order and just leave, and our waitress said we still had to pay even though our (highly likely) frozen calamari wasn’t even out to us yet. Safe to say we’ll never be back. Save your time, and your sanity. I’d give it a zero if I could.
