This is definitely the place for breakfast in Montrose! The food is amazing! I will definitely be back to eat there again! Service was slightly slow but very adequate, but they were slammed and I know why now. They deserve that crowd because they are producing excellent food!

Wow! Great breakfast. Huge portions. I got two eggs and hashbrowns and it came with a gigantic cinnamon roll. I couldn’t eat it all. But man was it good. They also homemaker their preserves for their toast. Go with people so you can try both and share. Coffee was hot and my cup was always full. Super nice waitress. We will be back!

Cinnamon Roll was excellent! Bennidict had good flavor and a good amount of ham. However, it was not hot…just warm to cool. The Hobo plate was good- had sausage gravy instead of cheese.

This was the cutest and the best Cafe! This place is a hidden gem I’m sure the locals don’t want getting out. Debbie Vernon was the sweetest and made killer recommendations. This is your classic small town diner with amazing food. I was able to get gluten free pancakes and they had the most delicious strawberry syrup/jam, make sure you ask for it! The cinnamon roll was to die for. Fresh brewed ice tea and the thick cut bacon was fabulous. 15/10 loved this place.

My family and I have eaten here at the Montrose location for 20 years. Today was our WORST experience ever! My wife and I both ordered the chicken fried steak skillet that was served “burnt” to us both. Even the gravy had a STRONG burnt taste to it. I asked the server to sample it and he agreed it was very bad. After getting both our orders replaced with fresh plates of food, we could still detect a burnt taste to the food (perhaps the fryer is now passing along the taste?). After talking to our server (who was great by the way!!!) we asked to speak to the manager to pass along our thoughts on this latest experience. She can and listened to our concerns and assured us she was hearing our concerns and promised to make it right. We didn’t expect our meals to be comp’d or even be issued a discount. We just wanted our experience to be given attention and for the manager to make sure others didn’t have the same bad experience. After sharing our bill with the server, even he was surprised that the manager chose to show her appreciation for our TERRIBLE experience by only deducting 10% off our bill. I don’t think this manager understood how treatment of customers and their concerns can dictate how a consumer views a business and whether they choose to support them in the future by spending their funds with a business that doesn’t fully appreciate such a negative experience. Our $10 tip shows we chose not to take it out on the server but will definitely choose to never again spend our hard earned income with a business that is not ready to hear constructive views from dissatisfied patrons. We can only hope ownership is listening and cares enough to read how poorly our breakfast experience was today. Maybe the servers and other hard working emoyees have experiences that ownership should know about? How can management handle things better in the future to ensure patrons continue to support their business?

Amazing establishment. Homemade food, felt like a grandma was cooking it. Great genuine service and they even gave us a free cinnamon roll since it was our first time there. People of all kinds and generations coming here to eat. Even great seeing the after church crowd come dressed up of all ages. Made me really happy

The food was good diner style with good size portions and our waitress was very friendly. The reason I’m giving a low rating is the whole place just seems tired and dirty. Bathroom had a funky smell, hole in the wall by the floor that exposed a large pipe, the interior isn’t the cleanest if you look around.

Edit after 2nd visit: The taste was consistently same yummm. You must visit this place. This time we ordered 3 crepe with berries & eggs hash browns-to side. It was AMAZING. The crepes has vanilla cream stuffing and the strawberry sauce seems homemade so delish. I loved it.

I loved the Garden omlet more Spinach omlet was okay.
They give generous quantity. We also had french toast, which was very tasty the syrup was just with right amount of sweetness so you wont feel the overwhelming sweetness. Just right. Also heard from a fellow diner that their Cinnamon roll was great. Totally a good experience.
