Weren’t sure what to try for dinner and as lovers of all things bbq, we decided to give it a try. We were not disappointed at all and throughly enjoyed our meal and experience. We decide to try the 3 meat combo with ribs, pulled pork, and chicken. The meats were all well prepared but the ribs were definitely the prize. The sides were good as well, don’t pass up on the fries. In addition, we found the prices to be very reasonable. It definitely has the local feel and old fashion vibe along with great hospitality.

I didn’t know what to expect when I came here. My girlfriend brought me here for a bite to eat cuz I told her I wanted barbecue. So when I looked at the restaurant from the outside it didn’t seem much like a barbecue house. I expected to see figurines of hogs and cows or something or a barbecue grill on the outside you know the traditional stuff. No such was present just an old sign that says Henry’s Smokehouse, Okay so not a big deal. When I walked in I did see a few items that give the ambience as though I’m in a BBQ joint which was the wooden chairs the wooden table and different types of figurines plastered throughout the restaurant. It wasn’t enough to give me that feeling of I’m in a BBQ joint. Nonetheless I ordered as you see, the menu was pretty big for a small place. I didn’t know what to expect but my food came out pretty quickly and it was hot. The baked beans were golly good. I also had a stew more like a peas, carrots stew and that was good as well. What I didn’t expect is the big old piece of rib I got OMG and the softball size of pulled pork my goodness my stomach is still full and its been a few days. I looked behind the counter to see who was cooking this I was surprised. The reason why is because they were young folk I didn’t expect them to know what to do but they did their thing following the recipe that was left for them I guess. My friend had macaroni and cheese and I must admit it wasn’t the greatest but wasn’t bad either. This is not to be insulting but it’s something about mac and cheese everybody has their own recipe and it’s just one of those things you got to get it right to the right tastebuds. I also had chicken and that was golly good too. I was Pleasant ly pleasantly surprised about everything. Hospitality, professionalism great customer service. The only reason why I didn’t give it a five star is because the peach cob was messed up pretty badly. I didn’t particularly care for the way the dumplings. They were very mushy although the amount of sweetness was okay. Also because the ambience. I prefer a little bit more smell of smokehouse when I enter into a BBQ joint. But then again that’s just my preference as I say all the time don’t take my word for it check them out for yourself and write your review but be warned I told you it was golly good.

Amazing experience at Henry’s Smokehouse!
The atmosphere is wonderfully cozy and the food is truly delicious.
What sets this place apart is the dedication to authentic, traditional BBQ: the meats are smoked on Hickory wood for a minimum of 12 hours.
The staff is excellent—Marie and Dave were incredibly nice and great conversationalists, making the visit truly special.
The ribs are amazing, and the Pulled Pork is a real winner! I must also specifically mention the mustard sauce (Carolina Gold)—it had a perfect subtle kick of spice and was truly delicious!
I thoroughly enjoyed the entire experience and will definitely be back again. Thank you very much for the wonderful meal!

The barbecue was ok. Really busy spot. Hard to get a parking spot. The seating is fine if you are alone but for a group it just isn’t designed for that. Much more like a diner in design.

Visiting from Texas and went on the hunt for a local BBQ place. Found Henry’s and it’s honestly some of the best BBQ I’ve had. Pulled pork and ribs both delicious. And all the sides were awesome. Not usually a huge fan of BBQ place Mac and cheese but theirs is solid. We also had the baked beans, potato salad, and the hash and rice and it was all great. Plus the sauces are fantastic and polar opposites of each-others, both worth trying.

Incredibly kind and helpful staff and insanely fair prices. Back home we’d pay double for some sort of award winning BBQ that would be half as good, less food, and twice the price. Highly recommend Henry’s Smokehouse. Plus I want the old Elvis painting in the back.

I hope they stick around for a real long time.

The ribs were delicious, but the chicken and potato salad were alright. The hash and rice was okay but I wished the rice was better since the rice tasted like it came out of an instant rice box which is not the best. On the bright side, I received the food quickly after ordering.

The staff at Henry’s Smokehouse was friendly and helpful. The chopped chicken was tender, the pork was juicy and not dry and had a delicious smoked flavor. The ribs had a savory dry rub and cooked to perfection. Their homemade pickles were amazing! I loved their crispy homemade fries. I sat outside at one of the picnic tables and enjoyed the cool breeze and eating delicious BBQ!

I am pretty picky when it comes to bbq because I was raised on it, so finding this place that felt like REAL SC bbq was like tasting a little bit of home again. I like hash even more than bbq so seeing it on the menu just made my day. All the meat was such good quality that you almost don’t need the sauce (even though the mustard is VERY good) because it tastes great on its own.

The staff is welcoming, patient, and helpful. Since it was my first time, I had a few questions and the lady who took my order was friendly and polite answering them and even made a few suggestions to help us out!

There is limited seating inside, but loads outside under a covered sort of gazebo/pergola type thing. The menu is easy to order from and yet still has plenty of options to choose from. The portions are huge and the prices are fair. You get loads of food without having to save up just to get lunch out. This is a traditional, down to earth bbq place, but the quality just elevates far over any of those newfangled chain places popping up. Forget them, remember what good food is really like.

Food was good, service was excellent. Two young girls working the front on house and delivering food were great. BBQ is one of those things that is so particular, please remember that my taste may be different than yours. Pulled pork was good, Mac and cheese very good, ribs were a little less smoked than I prefer and a little dry. Sweet potato casserole was very good and banana pudding very good as well. Definitely go and try, you may love it.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. I ordered the pulled pork sandwich and fries for $10 which was a great price. The fries were delicious and the sandwich was good, just a bit dry. It looks like you get more fries when you order in versus to go.
