An Iconic brand that has been around since 1947. We have recently improved our menu, with our new one coming out Monday May 7th. We will finally be selling chili cheese dogs for all of the guests that have been asking!! We are known for our sauces and homemade desserts!! We have a signature tartar sauce that is not a typical tartar sauce. Most people who do not like tartar sauce love our special sauce. Our daily hand breaded onion rings are a signature item. The fish sandwich is by far a game changer. Another great sauce is the strawberry glaze that is poured on top of freshly cut strawberries, in either a whole strawberry pie, or the pie baby. And then there is the Hot Fudge Cake!! So what’s your favorite thing?

Hubby had the fish sandwich last month & said it was good. So we stopped in to get it again. This time it was way too crispy for him so he didn’t like it, but I’m OK with extra crispy. Not sure I’d get it again though. They charged me 99c to add cheese to it! We added the soup & salad bar to it. Veggie soup was good. Rest of the bar looked old & not fresh. So I don’t think it was worth the extra $5.99. Also had sweet potato fries & they were good. Dirty tables everywhere & the waitress was nice & friendly, but never took 1 dirty plate from our table the entire time.

My wife and I live in nearby Ashland Kentucky. We decided to go out to eat breakfast couldn’t decide on where to go, shall we thought we would hit this Frish’s breakfast bar. Absolutely perfect. Everything was cooked to perfection and kept warm on the breakfast bar. Unfortunately, a local patron became ill in the restaurant and required an ambulance. The staff handled this with great professionalism. Plus they were able to attend to us customers too. We certainly look forward to our next visit. If you are in the area, or just passing through on the highway, give this one some serious thought.

On a whim my husband and I stopped here for lunch on a Friday. There were at most 8 customers in the restaurant but we still waited nearly 5 minutes to be seated; no big deal. Ordered our food which was mediocre at best. The patty on my husband’s burger was approximately as thick as the meat on a small hamburger at McDonald’s but still cost $6! Wouldn’t have minded the price if the quality had been there but it definitely wasn’t. Almost $30 and my husband got water but we still weren’t complaining because we expect to pay when we go out. Our true complaint was the attitudes of the staff! The most hateful, unfriendly women I’ve ever seen in one place. The lady who walked us to our dirty table was annoyed she had to do her job, the waitress was just ready to get rid of us even though we never complained once and tried to be friendly and when we went to the counter to pay, we waited another 5 minutes for someone to check us out. I could have understood if they were busy but they definitely weren’t. We still tipped 20% because that’s who we are but we will not be returning.

Perfect example of how past reviews can fail. Quick lunch , in and out. Food was hot, delicious and brought to the table quickly. Price was fair for current times. Service was polite. And everyone was in good spirits! Clean friendly atmosphere. And will come again as I pass through! Thank you BB for the food and service !

We really enjoyed eating at Frisch’s Big Boy. I must say the food wasn’t the best. The buns were really dry and fell apart. The fries were greasy. I will go back because everything else was good. Our service was great.

We ate the cod dinner and it was the nastiest food I’ve ate in a long time and the hamburger was so thin you could almost see through it the only thing that was halfway decent was the tenders. NEVER Again!!!!!

Myself and two friends had lunch here and were amazed by the quality of the food for the price.. the wait staff were nice and attentive. The food arrived in a timely manner and was hot.

We travelled from South Carolina here because we haven’t had a Big Boy restaurant since the 80s. Thank you for making my wife’s birthday memorable. She really enjoyed her meal but especially the hot fudge cake.
