I tried the other (original) store in Tuscaloosa long time ago. This store didn’t exist then. I was expecting the same taste and quality for the signature BBQ rib. Unfortunately, it wasn’t the same. The rib was a bit dry and hard. The other entrees (like potato salad, fried green tomatoes, etc) were however fine. I wish I had gone to the original one instead.

This restaurant is absolutely worth trying! They serve authentic American-style smoked meat, using real wood for smoking. You can already smell the rich, aromatic barbecue scent as you walk through the parking lot. Not only are the prices for each dish very reasonable, but the portions are also incredibly generous. The interior decor instantly transports you to a classic American diner. I tried both the Ribs and the BBQ Pork, and they were both excellent. If I had to point out one minor drawback, it would be the disposable cutlery and plates. But these are trivial compared to the truly outstanding food! Friends, you’ve got to give this place a try!

Pretty solid BBQ from the legendary Dreamland. They were super busy post game, but we got in and out without too much time. The combo platter is definitely the way to go, so you get the best of multiple meats. I can find better, but it is always still a good choice when we come to Tuscaloosa.

Dreamland BBQ is indeed a DREAM. Our server (Brittany) was so SWEET, like the sweet tea they got. That’s always the right vibe to start a dining experience. This bbq spot had the best chicken quesadilla I’ve ever had. It may ruin chicken quesadillas for you and you’ll be questioning what you’ve eaten all these years. My friends got the ribs and also said it was the best they’ve had. And DONT LET ME START ABOUT THE BANANA PUDDING. Indeed best in town or maybe state who knows

We’ve been in Tuscaloosa several years but I’m not a huge BBQ fan (I’ve lived in too many BBQ towns, KC, Memphis, etc and had it all) but BBQ is the hubby’s absolute fave, so we visited Dreamland this weekend because it’d been awhile. Honestly, as someone who was not looking forward to eating BBQ anywhere, I was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed it! I had the BBQ baker – if you’ve had a similar dish at Jim n Nicks, it’s not nearly as good as the one I had at Dreamland. Also, dipping white bread in BBQ sauce that was warm and fresh was unexplainably good. Hubby was super happy with the ribs and our teenager enjoyed the sausage plate and said the okra was almost as good as his Mimi’s 😉 (that’s a high bar folks, she’s a pro). Service was quick and friendly. I won’t be nearly as hesitant to eat BBQ next time the hubby asks!

What a sensational business! From family fun to a night with the girls, you can expect nothing less than exceptional service, food, and atompshere! I love coming here with my whole family! It’s a treat every time. Tay is an exceptional waiter! The General Manger (Tan) really cares about not only her business, but every customer that steps in the building! HIGHLY recommend!

The go-to spot for some seriously good barbecue. The place is all about the basics—nothing fancy, just amazing ribs that hit the spot every time. They’re smoky, tender, and covered in that famous tangy sauce that’s the real deal. The sides, like baked beans and slaw, are just what you need to round out the meal. Whether you’re a local or just in town, Dreamland is the place to be when you’re craving some top-notch Southern BBQ.

Lives up to some of the hype, but not all of it. We loved the Brunswick stew, the beans, the smoked sausage, and the banana pudding. Unfortunately ribs were more fat that meat. But they have a good atmosphere and cool set up with the pits being right out in the eating area. Friendly Southern service. A little disappointed that even for eat -in orders they’re still using all plastic and Styrofoam.

The experience was good. We ordered a slab of Ribs, 1 sausage link, macaroni and cheese, and potato salad. The ribs were too greasy for my liking, Overall the service was good.
I tried the potato with chicken; while the chicken was a bit dry, the overall dish was enjoyable.
