One of the nicest and politest places I’ve eaten at Winter Park. It might also be that our waiter, Ashley made us feel welcome and comfortable. The fried calamari appetizer was delicious and the tomato sauce was just right! We also ordered spaghetti carbonara which was really delicious. It was not flooded with butter or cream that some restaurants depend on for the taste. It was just the right amount of creaminess, pepper, and pancetta. The portion size was decent for my spouse and I, too. Also, there was a delightful onion taste which just took it to another level. What I mean by that is that it felt you were eating at a restaurant but it had a delightful home-cooked meal taste to it, too. This combination always make me trust a place better. Great experience!

I recently went to a great dinner at Armando’s during one of the coldest nights of the year. It was a Wednesday and fairly empty outside so we got a great seat looking out at the street with a heater above us, which made it very pleasant with the calm lighting. The service was excellent, our waiter Jean Lucas (I tried to spell it well ) was always checking in with us and ensuring we were enjoying our food. He also pours the beer perfectly. Overall the food was very delicious, I had the lasagna and my girlfriend had the mushroom ravioli—both were beautifully presented and just the right amount. If you’re in the mood for good Italian food in an authentic and beautiful spot go to Armando’s!

My family and I went to Armando’s for the first time tonight. We live in Melbourne, so we come to Winter park for special occasion. The service and the food was outstanding. The price was reasonable. We had there chicken Tatiana, pappardelle al salmon, and veal piccata. All three were flavored as good as expected and plentiful portions. The server, Mia, was outstanding. She is attentive to the customer ensuring their drink glasses were always full and food was delivered hot and with a smile.

This was my first visit. Will definitely not be my last. 15 of us had family Christmas Eve dinner there. Christmas Eve at restaurants is very difficult on the staff as it is so expectations are usually pretty low. I was absolutely blown away by something I got that really wasn’t on the menu and the care of the presentation and the quality of the food was just amazing. The staff was professional, courteous, and went over the top and I know how busy they were and that made it so much more special. It is my new favorite restaurant. I ordered the Zupa De Pesche which is the best I have ever had anywhere. The fish was plentiful and cooked to absolute perfection. Every entree at our table was shared and there wasn’t one thing that wasn’t just unbelievably satisfying. Thank you all for such a great visit can’t wait to come back and see you again.

Armando is a treat. Set in a beautiful paved hi end Street, surrounded by other vibey restaurants and shops. A lovely take on traditional Italian. I had a carbonara, which was on the chef’s recommendation list. It was absolutely delicious. My colleagues had the salmon salad, and the bolognese. They were raving about the flavours.
This waiter was friendly and attentive. We shared a bottle of the sauvignon blanc from the Napa valley. It was good and reasonably priced.
Overall definitely worth the visit.

The food and service were consistent with past visits—decent overall. Unfortunately, the cleanliness has noticeably declined. The tablecloth was stained, there was silverware under the table, and the floors were extremely dirty. For a Winter Park restaurant with an average of about $30 per person, the experience felt more like a Pine Hills diner.

Service can improve. We were rushed thru ordering and water refills were never delivered unless requested. The atmosphere and food were amazing (except for the calamari which was very chewy and not crispy)♥️ we tried the gnocchi, cheese ravioli, margarita pizza, bolognese pasta, and the carbonara they were all delicious. For desert the bread pudding and the tiramisu were excellent. Stay away from the chocolate lava cake the offer tho it was deflated and not good at all.

Writing this review a few weeks after I visited and the salmon salad, with a citrus vinaigrette, still lingers in my mind. It suited the mood for something light that day.
3rd visit. Chicken marsala was good. This version is made with a dry marsala as opposed to a sweet one. I love the fact you can switch out the pasta here for vegetables. They almost always have broccoli, but today I chose the spinach and it was prepared well.
2nd visit. The pollo Sofia was excellent. The tomato sauce, garlic, wine, basil, and cherry tomatoes all come together into this perfect sauce. Chicken was moist. It’s a light dish perfect for a mid week lunch when you’re not looking to be carb comatose. I substituted broccoli for the pasta and it was perfectly seasoned and cooked as well. Liked it even more than I thought I would. Would definitely get it again.
The focaccia-like bread that was brought to the table promptly was a warm, nice, fermented (I’m guessing) high-hydration dough with great crumb, and flavor for days. Olive oil and balsamic dip cheered it on.
The waitress was perfectly attentive and thorough.

It was Valentine’s Day and we wanted to have dinner at this place. We called and were told our table would be available in about 45 minutes for indoor seating and that we would receive a call once it was ready. We arrived and 50 minutes had already passed, so we decided to ask. When we approached the host, she told us the only options were to sit outside or at the bar. I explained to the host that I had been told on the phone that I could get a tablet inside, but she said there was nothing she could do about it. We decided to get a table outside since we were already there and sat at the tables on the street (which we didn’t mind). After sitting down, we noticed the table was uneven, covered in leaves from the tree, and didn’t have a lamp like all the other tables had. I ended up asking the host to please bring us a lamp so we wouldn’t have to sit in the dark (honestly, I thought they were punishing us for asking to sit inside in the first place ). Our waitress, on the other hand, was AMAZING, I think her name was Paola… She was very friendly and seemed to know everything. Although it took a little while for our food to arrive, it was fine; I’d give it a 6/10. Finally, I should add that the bathroom floor was covered in liquid; I hope it was water, but it didn’t smell very good. I understand that Valentine’s Day is usually a very busy day, but for the price we paid, I think it could have been better.
