Sushi Rev is a great concept and gives you the Japan conveyer belt sushi experience. They have some really good dishes like the seared salmon nigiri, but some of the other dishes are just okay. I wish their atmosphere was a bit better. Often times the employees are talking to each other across our table or cracking jokes around us which detract from the overall experience. Overall, I’d still recommend it for the food.

On Friday night, I arrived at Sushi Rev and joined the Yelp waitlist around 5:40 PM. The wait time was estimated to be 2-3 hours. To join the waitlist online, you must be within a 4-mile radius of the restaurant. The wait time was quite accurate. We were seated at 8:30 PM. Unfortunately, one of the conveyor belts was already broken, so we had to order directly from the iPad. This was preferable because the food was freshly made. While the menu didn’t offer much variety, it was satisfactory. It’s a small restaurant, not ideal for large parties. The staff were nice and friendly. Considering the wait, it wasn’t worth it. I might consider going back if there wasn’t a wait. Maybe.

I was pleasantly surprised by this place. The fish was so fresh and delicious. Most of the time I didn’t even touch the soy sauce and wasabi. It’s also a bit dangerous because your bill can easily go into the triple digits per person.

My only real gripe is that the unlocking mechanism on the conveyor belt. It was a little difficult to operate. The dish kind of just got shot out when you open it. Waste of sushi just ended up ordering from the iPad. There’s a bit of a wait but at least your food won’t fly off the belt.

Great quality fish for conveyor belt sushi! Everything tasted fresh. Their toro was SUPER marbled.
This is a well run restaurant. All the servers are knowledgeable about the food and super friendly. They will also check on you occasionally.

No beers on tap. Only have Sapporo and Asahi liter bottles. Only 1 sake selection. Their kizami wasabi is horseradish based.

For 2 bottles of beer, a handful of toro, and a LOT of other nigiri, our bill came out to be $102 including tax. My husband and I were definitely full and happy.

Sushi Rev is a new and modern sushi restaurant that uses conveyor belts to usher a constant flow of handcrafted sushi, rolls, and Japanese sides straight to your table. Situated in The Market Place, this restaurant is similar to other local conveyor belt concepts like Kura and Kaisen Kaiten. At the time of this review, the restaurant has only been open for a few months so expect waits during peak hours.

Average cost for 2pc sushi is $3.75 which seems reasonable. Besides sushi, Sushi Rev’s menu also includes specialty rolls, carpaccio, izakaya and beverages. There are a number of different truffle sushi offerings and each is served with just the right amount of truffle flavor – rich in umami but not overpowering. I recommend pitching in $2 more and trying their fresh Toro. Sushi Rev also offers a few sushi dishes which contain strawberries…I’ve never tried strawberries on my sushi before and I didn’t start today. My daughter enjoyed her go-to items: salmon sushi and ebi tempura. Restaurant patrons have the option to pull dishes directly off the conveyor belt or order from the tablet at their table and watch as their order is delivered directly to their table!

Sushi Rev in Tustin offers a unique and satisfying revolving sushi experience that balances quality with a lively atmosphere. If you’re looking for fresh, delicious fish, it’s a great choice, but be prepared for a few quirks.
The standout feature of Sushi Rev is undoubtedly the quality of the fish. The cuts are notably fresh, thick, and flavorful, putting them a step above many other revolving sushi restaurants in the area. Whether you’re grabbing a classic salmon nigiri or a more adventurous specialty roll from the conveyor belt, you can taste the difference. The rice is also perfectly prepared and seasoned, complementing the fish without overpowering it.
However, the popularity of the restaurant means a significant wait time, especially during peak hours. Be prepared to wait for a table, as the high demand for their quality food often leads to a long line.
Once seated, the experience is a bit of a whirlwind. The conveyor belt is constantly stocked with a variety of plates, and you can also order specific items from a tablet. Our waiter was very attentive, perhaps a bit too much so, as they seemed to be constantly checking our table and scanning our plates. While we appreciated the prompt service, it did feel a little intrusive at times.
Overall, the good food makes Sushi Rev a worthwhile visit. The fresh fish and well-crafted dishes are the main draw, and despite the long wait and the waiter’s constant plate-scanning, it’s an enjoyable and memorable dining experience.

Just visited Sushi Rev for recently opened in Irvine and WOW—what a ride! The conveyor belt setup is sleek, fun, and makes the whole experience feel like a celebration of sushi. We tried just about everything that rolled by, and not a single dish disappointed.
The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, even with the recently opening day rush. You can tell they’re passionate about the food and the vibe they’re creating.
Between the delicious variety, the energetic atmosphere, and the smooth service, Sushi Rev is already a standout.
If you’re in the area and love sushi, and you want to have fun experience- this place is a must-try. I’ll definitely be back… probably sooner than I should admit.

Recently opened amazing revolving sushi that is more elevated than Kura. They opened last week and it was a packed house at 7pm on a Sunday night with a 90 min wait. The interior is very brightly lit and clean and minimal.

There are three separate conveyor belts that have sushi cost $3.75 and a separate tablet at each table to order rolls, izakaya options, or other sashimi not on the conveyor that get delivered to you on a robot. The amount of fish they give for each piece is so so good especially for the price and the fish quality is so good and consistent! My favorites were the toro and avocado salmon. The salmon crunch and baked Alaskan rolls were large and very filling!

We ate roughly ~8-10 plates and 3 rolls and the total ran up to $80 which is a solid price for 3 people who were really full and satisfied. Really recommend this spot, would try to go during off peak hours! One thing to note is that they only served complimentary miso soup during their soft opening so they no longer offer that anymore.

Nice and clean, and we really enjoyed the concept! We first visited a few weeks ago when they had just opened and it was packed, but this time we went mid-day and had no wait. We tried both the conveyor and ordering from the tablet, everything was fresh, tasty, and appetizing. The tables are set up for four people max, so keep that in mind. Evenings can get really busy, so it’s best to join the waitlist ahead of time. The only downside was that the water and my Coke weren’t cold, but overall it was a great experience. Definitely worth a try!
