We had the pleasure of dining here on a Friday night whilst visiting Glasgow for the weekend. Candlelit tables ensured it’s cosy and romantic.
What a great find! Classy, quirky establishment with lovely background live music and incredible food.
The Scottish twist on the menu is brilliant.
The welcome from the moment you walk in with the lovely lady at front of house to Zach our waiter was fab and had great recommendations . Thanks so much!

A lovely venue with a great atmosphere, especially if there’s live music. Had the haggis lasagna with a side portion of triple cooked chips. Tasted delicious. After careful consideration I went for the deep fried mars bar for dessert. Wow this is amazing, nothing like a chip shop version. In fact, it was so nice I actually just turned up to have it on its own with a pint of Guinness.

We both ordered the pie, which was made with steak venison and haggis with a freshly made pastry top. Best pie I’ve eaten. The mash and greens were tasty and fresh. Cracking pint of orchard thieves and they even had Belvedere vodka (even though I didn’t have any tonight). Lovely service from a knowledgeable and passionate lady who told us, the building was once a horse stable. Beautiful building, gorgeous decor, my perfect type of gastropub! X

The dukes umbrella is an experience for their Sunday roast. Paula welcomed us & was so friendly with excellent wine recommendations. Ashley helped us with our food order.
The beef was excellent quality & everything was included with the roast. It was just amazing. My partner added on the cauliflower & cheese which he said was excellent. He also loved neck oil & gamma ray on draft. I had a look at the drinks menu & the wine bar is also excellent .
We booked at the time of the piano man singer & it was brilliant, we requested a more social area & they let us sit at that table from 3pm to close.
Ryan & Ashley looked after us all night. We just didn’t want to leave. Best place I’ve been & i can’t wait to come back for the next Sunday experience.
The wonderful people working there makes it for us. The young lads were also very professional & friendly. The roast is the best I’ve ever had.
Thank you for such a wonderful day.. & night

We attended as a family for Sunday roast and were not disappointed. The food was excellent (especially the haggis stuffed yorkies) My wife and i had the chicken supreme and my kids had the beef. They offer a number of side dishes to add to your main but be warned, the servings are very generous.
Our server was also excellent and the whole place had a really nice cosy atmosphere on what was a grey, dreary old day.
A fantastic find (credit to our daughter for that) We would thoroughly recommend The Dukes Umbrella and will definitely be returning soon.

Went for Sunday Roast and cannot say enough good things about the experience. The food was absolutely incredible. I got the lentil soup as my starter and a friend got the haggis quesadilla. Both were excellent. Opted for the beef for dinner and was absolutely blown away. Everything. Every. Single. Thing. Was. Perfect. It’s one of the best meals I’ve ever had. And our server, Paula, was so friendly, attentive, and funny we absolutely adored her. I was just passing through Glasgow and am deeply upset I won’t be able to get this every Sunday. Make your reservation, run don’t walk, and enjoy the absolute best Sunday roast you’ll ever have.

The food was top. We tried the haggis, the burger and the fish and chips. The interior was well thought of as overall atmosphere and pub-feeling. The music was also quite good. Service was friendly and by the book.

Duke’s Umbrella in Glasgow is a must-visit for anyone seeking elevated comfort food with a daring, innovative edge. Our recent meal there was brilliant and proved that traditional dishes can still be surprising!
The Butter Chicken Pot Pie was the undeniable star of the show. This dish is a stroke of genius; served with an innovative marriage of rich, deeply satisfying Indian cuisine and traditional British comfort cooking. It was perfectly spicy, with every bite amazing. While the prep time was slightly longer, the complex flavors were entirely worth the wait.
We also sampled the classics, which were given a fun Scottish twist. The Bangers and Mash featured sausages infused with haggis. The Chicken Supreme lived up to its name. It truly felt like the penultimate chicken dish, with every taste reinforcing the core, delicious chicken flavor.
Duke’s Umbrella delivers on both comfort and inventive flair. The flawless execution made it a standout dining experience in Glasgow. Highly, highly recommended!
