Restaurant Perlama Seafood offers an incredible dining experience, serving freshly caught seafood prepared in the authentic Malaysian Cantonese style.

Here are some of my personal favorites and recommendations:

– Claypot Seafood Congee: A comforting and flavorful dish made with tender seafood and a rich, savory broth.
– Sambal Sweet Potato Leaves: A spicy and aromatic dish featuring sweet potato leaves cooked with sambal sauce, providing a delightful contrast of flavors.
– Kam Heong Bamboo Clams: A delectable dish featuring succulent bamboo clams cooked in a flavorful sauce, showcasing the seafood’s natural sweetness.
– Steamed Locally Caught Fish in HK Style: A beautifully presented dish featuring locally caught fish steamed to perfection, offering a taste of Hong Kong’s renowned seafood cuisine.

Went there recently with a few friends. Ordered the chef’s specialty which is the seafood porridge as well as the grouper steamed slice, sweet potato leaf oyster sauce whole chicken, their steamed signature class and others. For drinks coconut and freshly squeezed orange juice.

The venue of the restaurant is next to the Klang riverine South Port. Plenty of open air parking. Food is superb.

Nice view here next by the river but beware of mosquitoes, cats & dogs.
Food came out pretty fast but was average tasting. Fish cake dish was homemade & springy. Kam Heong crabs were nice but pricey. Sweet & sour crabs was too sweet for my liking but fried bread dipped in the sauce with it redeemed the dish.

The signature dishes – Lala meehoon and seafood porridge – are very good. We also enjoyed the baby squid, salted egg yolk squid, mantis nestum. However the Kam Heong crab was disappointing as the crabs weren’t fresh. The crabs were expensive and not fresh. Sigh.
Next to the river, but the river so dirty with floating debris.
Food was out very quickly.

The restaurant was fairly large and situated on the riverbank. Children were excited seeing mud-skippers, small crabs and snails on the muddy areas just below the restaurant. When the sun set, the view of the river was gorgeous.

We ordered the following food and they all turned out to be pretty awesome.
1) Hoong siew yee tau (braised deep fried fish head)
2) Porridge in claypot (a signature dish)
3) Fried sotong
4) Herbal chicken
5) Stir-fried mak choy

My friend recommended this place in Klang for our lunch and although it was a bit far from our usual haunts, the food and the ambience here definitely made it worth our while. We opted for lunch so we can enjoy the view but I suspect that early dinner with sunset vibes are even more lovely. That’s in the cards for our next visit. The place is relatively clean and the food is great, not every dish is up to mark but I particularly love the porridge and the steamed fish. The fried squid is also a favourite, so much so that we ordered a second plate almost right away. The seafood is fresh and so are the local fruits. A special shoutout to the locally grown pineapples. The service is quite fast and they is a huge parking lot right out front.

Had high expectations for a good seafood lunch since it was recommended by a friend.
But it was SO DISAPPOINTING.
1. Sweet Sour Crab – this was the most disgusting dish. Crabs were not fresh, very fishy smell and meat was too soft. The sweet sour sauce was also not tasty.
2. The second most disappointing dish was the Fish. Fish was fresh but tasteless. The sauce was very diluted.
3. Mantis Prawns- very pricey and only few pieces.
We ordered a total of 8 dishes for 6 pax and the bill was too high and not worth it.
Definitely not recommending this restaurant for seafood.
