Poor Man’s Country Club
We received a warm welcome right when we walked in, and the drinks came out fast — always a good start. The tables and chairs were sturdy and comfortable, and the waitress, Faith, was a nice young lady — very polite and attentive.
The menus looked a bit ratty and worn, could use some refreshing, but the overall vibe was relaxed and friendly. There’s a beautiful view of the bay that really adds to the experience. The hot wings are good.
The only downside (and the reason for four stars instead of five) is that they still allow smoking inside — yuck. It’s 2025… let’s keep that outside, folks.

8/23/2025: Great service, fun space, and good drink prices. We arrived late, so we were only able to stay for one drink, but Skylar was very friendly and didn’t bat an eye about us arriving right before closing. I walked around to view the photos around the building and see all the fun memorabilia. I will go back early next time to try their food.

Just a cool little burger spot. Good drinks. Love the upper deck over looking the beach across the street. We stopped in to give it a try and were glad we did. The food was great. Burgers and chicken fingers with a soft pretzel appetizer and a couple beers… great lunch on Rockports beech. Also the look of the place just feels fun, so for those on vacation or locals trying to keep it light this is a great stop.

Service was on point, multiple people making sure we were well taken care of. Food was delish! Pub food, kicked up a notch. Beer is cold. Would definitely come back if we were in town again.

We got there during lunch on Memorial Day Weekend. It wasn’t packed but 70% of the tables were filled. Food was nice and hot. We got the fried mushrooms which were panko fried and on the salty side. I got fish tacos, the fish was great, but the taco was a tad soggy. Husband got shrimp po boy, it was good but the shrimps were a little over cooked. At the same time we’re picky eaters… still a pleasant experience regardless.

Great place for lunch & linner, we find dinner too crowded & food declines. I always get shrimp poboy, which is best in town & I’ve eaten about all of them. Shrimp not overcooked, light & crispy & delish tartar! Comes with good fries & great cole slaw. Others love the burgers! Excellent gin & tonics plus small bar where you can smoke up Johnny!

Deandre was our waiter hands down the best!!!! Came from out of town and 1st time here! Best experience ever Deandre did his job and was awesome! Let me name a drink he made up called the Mona Lisa! Thanks Deandre! Will come back!!

Not a bad spot to eat at when your in Rockport. The calamari is great and comes in large pieces although the portions are smaller than im used to but if you consider most places give you very small stripes its a great balance for the money. We had that and shrimp plus wings and burgers all members of my party enjoyed the food and the wait staff was very attentive. Unfortunately their CC machine was down at the time and I was unable to leave the tip that I had wanted to give our waitress. All in all 4 out of 5 stars and I do recommend checking this place out if you come to town
