Our family absolutely loves Kasai! From start to finish, the experience is always exceptional. The customer service, from the hostess to the bartenders, food runners, and servers, is consistently top-notch. We’re regulars here, and it’s easy to see why.

The sushi is outstanding with generous portions and incredible flavor. Our favorite roll, the Sugar Momma, isn’t on the menu anymore, but they still make it for us without hesitation which we truly appreciate! There are so many delicious menu items to choose from, even the kids’ menu options are thoughtfully done and full of flavor.

The Brussels sprouts are packed with taste, and the pomegranate adds the perfect sweet touch. The steak tacos are another must-try bursting with flavor every time. We’ve also enjoyed the teppanyaki experience, and the show that comes with it never disappoints always fun and entertaining.

The ambience is sleek and classy, and the massive fire columns outside have become an iconic part of the restaurant’s charm. We recently visited during their 24th anniversary celebration and loved the slight menu revamp even the new wine selection was an amazing upgrade.

Kasai continues to be one of our family’s favorite dining spots, and we can’t recommend it enough!

So, going to a place like this is not a solo visit and enjoying it with friends, family ans or loved ones makes the experience more exciting and enjoyable.

The food was wonderful. Full of robust flavors and the portion size was even better. I got the chicken and shrimp combo and was pleasantly surprised. One of the people I was with chose Filet Mignon and that was super tender so, good job chef.

Overall service was great. From the host to the server, they were all kind, professional and receptive to my dad jokes. The chef did a fabulous job at cooking but, gave the vibe of, im tired ans just want to leave. So, not the greatest thrills as the other tables seem to enjoy.

Atmosphere was definitely a upper Scottsdale fitting Atmosphere. I really enjoyed that as well. Classy, loud and intimate at the same time.

I might go a few more times this next couple weeks because of their food.

Excellent food, service, and show! Make your reservation online, as I saw a couple arrive without a reservation and they only had seats at the bar. I recommend ordering the teppanyaki set menu; you basically just choose your protein, and they provide soup, salad, rice, teppanyaki, and ice cream. The service is good from the moment you walk in, and the showman was very entertaining.

Update: why this is one of my top sushi places I got a chance to experience Chef Hugh at the tepanyaki table tonight. Always a good vibe, and the service is very attentive. The cherry blossom is now my new favorite cocktail because it’s not too sweet… the matchatini, not so much. The hamachi crudo, friends with benefits and rebel rebel rolls RULE! Always fresh, quality fish.

Kasai has a nice & cozy atmosphere for you to relieve some after work tension or just to do a meet & greet. The food is plentiful, well seasoned & taste delicious. No crunch here either, the seating arrangements was spacious. The service was phenomenal from the host all the way down to the chef. I will definitely refer all my friends & family to explore the exquisite restaurant.

Kasai recently updated their menu. Happy hour every day 3 to 9 and all day Sunday. Great small plate options to try a variety of dishes with a small group. If you sit at the bar or bar tables.

There’s a whole teppanyaki experience, which is a LOT of fun!
There’s a private party teppanyaki room for parties.
We like the food! The ribs are delicious, moist, tender with great seasoning. The chicken gyoza is very good. Gotta eat it while it’s hot. Love the sauce. The cauliflower was very good. It’s spicy.
Wish the black cod was still on the menu. 🙁
Nice bartenders Tucker and Hannah today.
If you want to sit outside there are tables in the bar area with heaters in the winter. Nice vibe.
Family friendly place.

I was extremely dissatisfied with our experience at Kasai. We came for a birthday celebration and the price ended up being comparable to a high-end steakhouse, but the value wasn’t even close.

We even shared a meal and still spent around $300 for a shared entrée, a few drinks, and one sushi roll. Portions were surprisingly small—each of us got only two scallops, and the steak portion felt like a handful.

We received a dirty sake glass and the wait staff that delivered drinks just joked it was a piece of coconut no big deal. One of my friends ordered a smoke old fashion that is their signature drink 1st one came regular when asked about it the second one came out the right way but then on the bill was an up charge.

Our server was very sweet and attentive—honestly the only good part of the night. Unfortunately, the teppanyaki “show” was disappointing. The chef mostly just lit plates on fire and sang “Happy Birthday” multiple times. There was no sake chugging, no food toss, and the egg toss went poorly—the egg broke on the grill and he tried to pick out the shell and still use the same egg for the rest of the meal.

Overall, while the waiter was great, the experience was not worth the money and felt like an absolute rip-off for what we got. I’d recommend finding a different teppanyaki restaurant.
