This is the GOAT breakfast spot of Ashland. They serve all the usual classics with finesse and love. The bacon comes crisp, the pancakes fluffy, the omelettes delicate, and the hash browns seared beautifully.
Beyond that, they push their menu to incorporate delicious, more elevated ingredients. The smoked bacon omelette is a banger. If you like the carmelized flavor of French onion soup, you’ll love this! So rich and deep with umami flavor, melding with diced bacon and fontina cheese. The Belgian waffle is also intense with bits of walnut and bacon baked in, which collides beautifully with hot maple syrup. So delicious!
Lastly, I like to champion breakfast spots that have the courage to deliver expertly done hash browns. Breadboard doesn’t even try, with the usual “home fries” cop-out (that nobody loves but will tolerate). Brothers serves hash browns, but they’re usually soggy and falling apart. Not the case here. You get a nice, flat, crisp, rigid slab of hashbrowns, ready to accompany your main.
Overall this is my number one spot for an Ashland breakfast. Definitely worth the small drive from downtown.

This restaurant was highly recommended to us and we are glad we listened. Sure, it’s busy on a Sunday morning. It’s also one of the best breakfast spots we’ve ever been to! The blueberry cheesecake stuffed French toast was awesome! Check this place out. You’ll be glad you did.

Went for a late breakfast on Valentines Day, we got there close to closing time (1 pm). We were sat at the last booth nearest to the bathroom & shortly after we were sat, the booth next to us left. Since it was now after closing, there were no other tables near us and the remaining customers were progressively leaving. We ordered, got our food, server was great, no issues with her. We’ve eaten here many times previously and enjoyed the food and have never once had any issue. My husband was showing me a video on his phone as we were eating, his phone volume was very low – it was barely audible, we were actually reading the subtitles. A few minutes into watching the video, an employee walked by our table and said “we’re gonna need you to turn your phone off, we don’t allow customers to be on their phones on speaker.” My husband was very surprised but initially said OK and turned it off. After thinking about it for a minute, he asked a different employee if he could speak with a manager about what we were told. The employee responded that it was the owner who said that we couldn’t be on the phone so we asked to speak with the owner. The owner that came out to speak to us was the employee who had told us to turn the phone off initially. My husband said to him that it was not ok to tell a paying customer to not be on their phone, we were not being disruptive in any way and that while we may have been watching a video on speaker, the volume was barely audible and given that the restaurant was closed and no one was seated by us, we did not see an issue and were shocked that an owner would tell a customer that they couldn’t be on their phone. The owner took a hard line on what he had told us and said we could leave. Which we did once we were done eating. And we will not be returning here. Nor will any of our family members or friends. For a business owner to tell a paying customer that they can’t be on their phone is absolutely absurd. Would he have said that to a parent whose child was watching a tablet? We were in no way being disruptive or watching anything inappropriate. This restaurant in not a quiet spot – there was a very large, vocal group eating while we were there and every time we have been there previously it is a restaurant that is on the noisier side. Small business owners in Ashland constantly complain about how hard it is to stay in business and this is how they treat their customers? I know this restaurant has been around for a long time and my singular review may have minimal effect on their business but I would be remiss to not make others aware that the owner thinks that it is OK to treat their customers in this manner. He was totally out of line and out of his mind to think he was ok to tell us we couldn’t be on our phone. I will absolutely tell anyone who asks for a breakfast recommendation to not go here.

Food was very good. I would recommend sharing plates with people since portions are very large. Be prepared to have to wait a half hour. Staff is friendly and courteous.

We hosted our mom’s 80th birthday party on the evening of 12/12/25 at Morning Glory. It was a resounding success! The food (appetizers, taco bar and build your own crepe bar) were tasty and fresh and thoroughly enjoyed by our guests. We loved the space at night, it felt warm and comfortable with plenty of seating for folks (we had 35 people) and an adjacent room for folks to go if they needed a more quiet area to chat. Owners Ryan and his wife were wonderful to work with and really made the night smooth and enjoyable for everyone—which in particular my sister and I who were the hosts, appreciated. If you’re looking for a space to host your event, we definitely recommend Morning Glory!

2 stars for the food, the Lemon Ricotta French toast and Sourdough pancakes were pretty good. However we won’t be returning, and I’ll explain why.
After we first got seated after about a 20 minute wait (and there’s also no parking anywhere aside from 6 spots) we took 2 available spots at the bar. Shortly after we sat down, one of the workers (I’m not sure if this was one of the owners, but he was working the floor and the register) walked by me, grabbed my hot tea that I brought in, without saying a word, and chucked it in the garbage. At this point, I wasn’t sure if it was an accident, or intentional, but I said “excuse me, that was my drink”. When I finally got his attention, he looked over and was like “oh, well we don’t allow any outside drinks”. Which is understandable, but it’s extremely rude to grab anything that belongs to a customer without saying anything. Also, there’s no signage anywhere saying this. He could have easily said “Hey we don’t allow any outside beverages” which would have been fine and I would have taken it back to the car. Anyway, I proceed to ask him to grab my drink back out because he was like “Oh you still want it?” Like bro, this drink was still full. Anyhow there was no apology, which makes me think he either did it intentionally or absentmindedly and didn’t want to admit any fault. This should be customer service 101, you don’t grab anything from a customer without asking. So for this reason alone, we won’t be returning and in all honesty, we probably should have walked out of the restaurant. But we had already waited 20 minutes and didn’t want to bother finding another place. But the staff could use a lesson in treating customers better.

Nice place to have a sit down breakfast, but if you don’t get there early, expect to wait for a table. They do have an outdoor patio where you can also enjoy your breakfast.
