Ever since I walked in, I have kept coming back because of their irresistible chicken shawarma and their delicious gyros. The baklava is also highly recommended, it is very sweet and decadent. The staff are super nice and are the reason I keep on coming back, overall best gyros and shawarma in University Place.

I been to this restaurant lot more than to any restaurant , I usually order chicken plate over the span of 7 years taste remained same, staff is very friendly. Plenty of free parking. Their Hummus & bread is great. I would definitely try meat plates and wraps.

This has been one of my go to spots for over 10years. Service is always good and fast, about 10-15mins wait depending on how greedy I am being with my order, and the food is always on point.

My wife and I recently visited Gyro Zone and we really liked it. We were from out of town watching a game and stopped in.
The staff is very kind and very attentive to customer service. The bring your food to the table for you, and you clean up your own table.
The food was delicious. I had the falafel sandwich as a wrap and so did my wife. The food portions were larger portions. We shared an order of Greek style fries with tzatziki sauce and feta cheese that were also delicious. The food was warm fresh and tasty! This restaurant is definitely superior to some of the other quick Greek type of places I have tried in the greater Seattle and Tacoma area.
The vibe is very relaxed and very casual. I highly recommend Gyro Zone for great Greek style food!

Personally, I think this place is slightly overrated. After hearing rave reviews from friends and coworkers, I finally decided to give the place a shot. And I was disappointed.
While the food is tasty, it is by no means the best gyro I’ve had. Better than Arby’s by a long shot, but worse than many of the places between Tacoma and Seattle. I was expecting better for the price.
That being said, the super gyro is fairly priced. The large gyro fries, however… see picture included. I cannot see how they justify a $16.99 price tag on very little gyro meat, some feta, and tzatziki over a bed of maybe 1 decent russet potato worth of fries. If you go through old pictures, this used to not be the case. Maybe if they were the best fries I ever had, it might be justified, but they weren’t. Not even close.
Besides actual food, going in to pick up my order was fast enough. While not rude, I don’t think they were the most friendly or welcoming. The atmosphere was also… quiet. You couldn’t even hear people eating, despite it being pretty full. It was eerie.
So while I was disappointed, it could easily have been an off day. Maybe they made the order wrong. So I’ll give them a second chance in the future. If that goes well, I’ll come back and edit this review.

Just moved to the area, as a connoisseur of Greek food this place hands down is one of the best tasting places I’ve ever been to not only for Greek food but in general. I will absolutely be coming back here for the foreseeable future.

Edible but not good. The fries tasted old or frozen and had almost no salt. The hummus had a very strange dirt-like flavor. The chicken gyro was not good. The chicken was over seasoned and dry. The gyro did not come with feta or cucumbers and was very light on the tzatziki. Food was overall not good.

If you’re looking for amazing food without breaking the bank, this is the spot. The portions were huge—definitely come hungry or be ready to take some home. Every bite was fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with care. The quality really surprised me, especially for how affordable everything was.
On top of that, the service was top-notch. Friendly, fast, and genuinely attentive—something you don’t see often anymore. This place could easily charge more for what they offer, but I’m glad they don’t! Can’t wait to come back.
