New to the area. First visit, was offensively over-priced for what I ordered. Surprisingly small cheese burger and burnt sweet potato fries. $24 with tip. On another visit, I had breakfast which seemed pretty good, but my sausage was burnt to a crisp. They charge an insane amount for a side of sausage, so I told the waitress about it, and she said she’d get another order, but she actually asked if she could grab the untried patties off my plate WITH HER FINGERS. I was so taken aback I said “yes” laughing, and she reached over and grabbed my food off the plate with her fingers. The latest visit, I had breakfast again, and this time ordered link sausage (haha) which was fine, but this morning I had Montezuma’s revenge, so, I’m done with this place. This place needs serious breakfast competition, but there is none. I’ll drive to Houghton Lake from now on.

Yeah, the pizza is good.
However, I refuse to pay 33.00 for what they call a LARGE (14″) THIN crust Supreme.
Industry standard a large is 16″.
Over priced either way, regardless of size.
I guess that’s what resturants get away with when there’s little to no competition.
Ate there 2 times the last 2 years.
I dont long for it or miss it.
I’d rather drive to Gaylord and eat a fine steak.

Food is phenomenal!!! The presentation of the food and amount of food is beyond expectations! And prices are great too! definitely a must go to if in Roscommon MI either on vacation or just passing through a must stop by and try! Its not a huge place so be prepared to wait for seating or just order it to go but definitely dont miss out on this place to eat.

Wasn’t nice and flaky. The entire thing was crispy and rather dry. Rest of our stuff was rather good.
The amount of fries they give you with sandwiches is VERY inconsistent. Fish sandwich had literally 16 fries. While the Patty Melt had so many fries, they were falling on the table and floor.

Quite literally the worst service I’ve experienced in my life. Fred’s had a long wait, so we tried this place out. We should’ve waited for Fred’s. This is the entire timeline of our dining experience:
We waited over 10 minutes to be greeted by our waitress after being seated. When our waitress arrived, she said “sorry about that,” with a straight face then immediately asked what we wanted to drink. We asked for waters. Several minutes later she came back to take our food order (without a smile or our waters). We ordered 4 entrees with 3 soups/salads, then watch her bring food out to the adjacent table and knock their drink over. A number of minutes go by again, and I have to flag another waitress down to ask for water (she was actually quite nice and brought out waters for us-I wish she would have served us). Our waitress then brings out our entrees; no soups or salads, which should have arrived long before our entrees. One of us kindly lets her know we are missing our soups and salad, which she responds with a huff and a meek “okay”. There was no apology or acknowledgment of her mistake. Somehow, it gets even worse! When she comes back with the soups and salads, she does so without saying a word to us – even after we each thank her as she handed us our food. She came back only once, about 20 minutes later as we were about to finish our dinner and asked if we were okay (still no smile!). After everyone finished their food, we tidied up our dishes and waited for her to drop off the check, but she never came back. After waiting even longer, we decided to wait by the host stand to see if we should cash out there. We actually saw her through the kitchen window rolling silverware as she was actively ignoring and neglecting us. We waited so long without her even glancing out of the kitchen door, that we actually had to knock on the kitchen door to get her to come print our receipt and take our payment! Still no smiles, no warmth – nothing but a girl that reeked of attitude and blank expressions.
I can promise we are going to wait for a table at Fred’s next time.

Cute place, we had a breakfast quesadilla and a pepperoni pizza. Food was great, good sized portions, service was great, too! Can’t wait to go back and try some different dishes.

The absolute best wet burrito in all of Michigan. I don’t know how they did it, but it was great! The lasagna was too big of a portion to finish. And the Stromboli was done to perfection. We were all so happy. The waitress was so sweet. She was singing and smiling and on top of everything. We will be back very soon. I just love Matt’s.

Never had a burger on a pretzel bun until I stumbled upon them at Matt’s. And it am so glad that I did because they are so delicious and filling. When I am in the mood for a good burger that is what I get. I like their website to order food quick and easy and you can choose a time that you would like to get your food. This is my every Friday breakfast place.

I used to really like this restaurant.
The food was ok, we ordered a pizza nothing like the pizza we used to get. The booth we had was caving in (not the only one), couldn’t sit back!
Others are ripped,torn,tables dirty etc.
Not sure i will go back! Very disappointed.
