Had an amazing lunch experience at Great Turtle! We ordered Cajun Chicken Flat Bread and Nashville hot chicken Mac and cheese. Both were great, especially the Nashville Hot chicken Mac and Cheese was finger licking good! The spices were awesome and the Mac and cheese was super creamy. The servers were very friendly too.

If you’re visiting Mackinac Island, I highly recommend visiting the great turtle brewery for either lunch or an early dinner. With exceptional service and phenomenal food and tasty beer, It was a great stop during our adventures.

Great Turtle Brewing is a great option if you’re looking for a classic brewery vibe and food. The Mexican Street Corn dip was an excellent starter. It didn’t have much corn in it but was cheesy and delicious. The Wings were also quite good. We asked to have half and half of two flavors but they said they do not do that. We had to get the wings naked and then have side sauces for the wings, not the worst thing but just not ideal. The summer berry salad was very fresh and the dressing was excellent. The Brisket Mac and Cheese was fantastic! The Whitefish and chips was underwhelming for how much Whitefish is praised in the region.
For gluten free options, they had gluten free buns for sandwiches. The buns however are toasted on the same roller as gluten so they are not celiac safe. We had the burnt ends with no naan which were excellent.
The Peach cider they had was one of the best ciders we’ve had. Overall a good place to get a meal on the island! They have lots of large tables as well.

Got a good amount of food for your dollar. Very good meal, flavorful and filling. Had a nice little kids menu. .
Just wish the alcohol menu’s showed prices. If it did, I didn’t see it.

Staying on the island and getting to eat here once all the day-timers are here is key. Pearl, our waitress, was AMAZING. She suggested I get the flight with 2-4oz and a different 2-4oz so I could have the best of both worlds. Superb! And the street corn appetizer—to die for! Don’t miss out! This place is a winner!

Patio seating for excellent island viewing. Very good service. A chicken sandwich where the chicken is even bigger than the delicious pretzel bun. Giant pretzel is a meal in itself. Drinks were colorful, fun, and delicious. A great place

Tried to hop on the ferry at prime time and the line was crazy so we decided to wait it out at the great turtle. We didn’t have any food so I can’t speak to that, we just sat at the bar and had a few beers. The big aft was our favorite among all the ones we tried. The staff was super friendly and attentive, definitely a much better option than waiting in the ferry line!

Tried the “whitefish” hush puppies, but they lacked even the faintest hint of whitefish. Perhaps being prepared near the whitefish in the great lakes qualifies. Also not as large as the menu alludes to. They are about the size of your average meatball. Id stick with Long John Silver’s instead of these.
The margherita flatbread was quite good, but again on the small size for the island prices. Two people will eat one of these easily with room to spare.
Service was incredibly fast, almost too fast. The quick seating and taking of our order was appreciated, but after you order getting your water refilled or putting in additional food was a challenge. You get a clear sense they want you in and out to get as much turnover as possible and keep the tourists on their way.

Nice place to relax on the balcony with a drink and filling food. The pretzel is about 8″ large and served with beer cheese and honey mustard dips ( sweet and savory). The pretzel was warm and super soft inside. The brisket tacos were also delicious.
