The food, service and atmosphere were reasonably good. It was half empty while neighbouring restaurants were fully booked inside and can only offer outside seats with heaters but November nights are chilling.
My salmon and friend’s tuna were good and we really enjoyed it.
However, part of the group decided to go with the “catch of the day” offer to learn an hour later they were the catch.
The price was put down in a way that only can be classified as a cheap scam. My salmon was €24.50 while the catch of the day was €11.00 hg. The fish was 600 grams and once it was prepared you getting roughly 120-130 grams in your dish. You would think that’s reasonable. The catch wasn’t there. It’s in those two small letters abbreviation that you likely didn’t pay attention above too. The €11.00 hg is actually €11.00/100g, that’s right per hundred grams.
They ended up paying €66 for 120 grams of not even well prepared fish. I must say here that the waiter paid attention when clearing the bones and fish scales but his colleague didn’t and my friends “fillet” dinner ended up as unpleasant expensive exercise of pulling out small bones and scales.
We didn’t question it. Just paid and left with the feeling of being scammed.
If you want your customers to respect you, you should respect them first. Change your menu price €11.00 hg to €11.00/100g or €11.00 per 100g.
With our waiters Mito and Laurenzio who brought us the fun warm open connection, the whole night is a blast and the best !
Excellent atmosphere and waiting staff.
All items were very well prepared. The carbonara and cacio e Pepe (with shrimps and spinach) were both excellent.
The beef fillet was mediocre at best.
I wasn’t very fond of the fact that the salad was served without any seasoning or dressing. Salt, olive oil and balsamic were served separately, in a “make it yourself” fashion, which I’m personally not a big fan of.
Also, the way the tiramisu was combined with some eccentric flavours such as coconut was interesting, however the most important part, which is the savoiardi, were soggy and not crispy at all (perhaps it was ready in the fridge).
All in all, a very careless approach to the food, even though the restaurant seemed very promising.
