The Thotakura Liver Fry Biryani is flavorful, the Thatte idlis are excellent, and the Benne dosas is a must-try. Food-wise alone, this place deserves 4–4.5 stars.
However, the overall experience is held back by service and management practices. The staff including the upper management people consistently feels rushed, with a strong push to place orders quickly rather than allowing guests to settle in and understand the menu, especially noticeable when dining with first-time visitors to South Indian cuisine, and also for wrapping up.
More importantly, this doesn’t feel like an individual staff issue but rather a management-driven approach where the Seating is also clearly staff convenience which is prioritized over guest comfort. Seating flow, pacing, and interactions feel rigid and efficiency-focused, which takes away from what should be a relaxed dining experience.
Good food alone doesn’t define a great restaurant, Hospitality does. With a more guest-first mindset encouraged from the top down, this place has the potential to be excellent. Until then, the experience feels inconsistent despite the quality of the food.
I’m sharing food photos to reflect the dishes themselves, which are genuinely enjoyable.
The service was prompt, and we ordered Mysore Masala Dosa, Vada, Sapota Shake, and Sitaphal Shake. Although the menu mentioned a preparation time of around 20 minutes, our food arrived in less than 10 minutes, which was impressive. There was also ample parking space, making the visit even more convenient.
We were first served a variety of chutneys presented beautifully on a tray, followed by the Vada. One plate consisted of four vadas, served piping hot—crispy on the outside and soft and fluffy inside, accompanied by flavorful sambar.
Next came the Mysore Masala Dosa. The dosa was as large as those typically served in Hyderabad restaurants—a perfectly shaped triangle, well-spiced, with delicious aloo masala inside. It was again served with sambar. The food was served on banana leaves, which added a traditional and authentic touch. The portion sizes were apt as well.
If you’re craving sapota or sitaphal shakes, this is definitely the perfect place to satisfy that craving!
The total bill came to $72. While it is slightly on the pricier side, it is absolutely worth it for the quality, taste, and overall experience.
Perfect ambiance, amazing food, and prompt service!
I would give an extra star for the exceptional cleanliness maintained by both the staff and the restaurant. I would definitely love to visit again the next time I crave a Telangana-style breakfast
Food was very good, just as expected.
We ordered the Benne Dosa, which was definitely the star of the show. We also got the Nellore Karam Masala Dosa, 3 in 1 idli, Parotto with veg kurma, and the filter coffee. Everything was delicious.
The decor is very nice and restaurant is clean.
Service could have been better. We had a reservation for 2:30pm but we were never warned about when the kitchen would close. We couldn’t place an order for takeaway or dessert order. The waiters could be a little more personal-able but felt like they did not care.
The atmosphere is beautiful, perfectly capturing the essence of South India, with a warm and welcoming vibe that enhances the dining experience. On top of that, the service was attentive and efficient, making the overall visit even more enjoyable.
I would highly recommend this restaurant for anyone looking to enjoy authentic, delicious South Indian food in a charming setting with excellent service.
They started with different chutney on the table. The chutney are not good
We ordered the gunpowder Italy. It came on a silver platter with lots ghee. Service was very good. Our waitress tried very hard to accommodate our requests , when we asked management a question about our experience she was not kind to our waitress and blamed it on our waitress right in front of our table. Management needs some severe training on hospitality and communication to staff to flawlessly make this restaurant run.
Ambiance is great
Good is amazing and authentic short Indian.
Will definitely go back there for good
The staff and monitoring were excellent, seating was comfortable, and I really loved the dishware/serving style ~ especially the brass utensils. Honestly, I could turn vegetarian and eat veg daily here
The thali was equal halfs exciting and disappointing.
Not a big fan of their online wait-list experience but expect a wait time. The waiting area is very small but they have ample parking.
The wait staff was quick to serve and checked up on us pretty frequently.
The service was quick, and efficient, and Rushi, our server, was kind, prompt, and well-informed.
Would highly recommend this place for anyone looking for authentic South Indian fare.
The menu is so vast it’s truly a fun experience trying different menu items and I’d say Every dish I tried was an A+.
100% recommend this restaurant to anyone who wants to try something different from an established and top 50 in the nation (Indian) restaurant.
The entire staff from my entrance to exit was cool and friendly- an excellent experience with 0 issues.
Try this restaurant out and it is certainly going to be crowded so making a reservation is probably for the best!
Enjoy and rock on my friends! A+ Certified!
