The veggie burrito with the smothered sauce was very good. I do wish it had some more vegetables though instead of primarily being rice and beans – onions and peppers would be nice too. Chips and salsa were good but i feel the salsa could be slightly thicker. Samantha, the server, was wonderful and she was attentive the whole time and made sure I always had what I needed. Overall, great clean restaurant but I wish they had other veggie options too.

I am not a fan of Mexican food but my son enjoys taco Tuesdays. So, I chose to surprise him and ended up pleasantly surprised myself. La Catrina has delicious salsa, homemade chips, friendly service, and perfectly flavored orchard. I ordered the #4 combo. The flavors exploded in my mouth! One of the best rice, beans and cheese enchiladas I’ve ever had! I got carne Asad fries for my son with a side of their spectacular green chile. The red Chile was so tasty and definitely contained some heat! I look forward to their church’s but will wait til I get home. Family friendly, out alone, or with friends. Enjoyable ambience!

Authentic food, wait staff were okay, not great but not bad. Honestly my favorite part was to see the owner painting. They have beautiful wall murals all hand painted. I would recommend this place to try and make your opinion as we all have our own opinions.

A hidden gem in Boulder – Family run Mexican restaurant with delicious street tacos. The chip salsa was delicious, very flavorful with just the right amount of heat. I highly recommend this place!

I’m going to assume this place has 4.8 stars because of the service. This may be the worst mexican restaurant I’ve ever been to. I’ve had better food at restaurants I’ve gotten food poisoning from.
The margaritas: 0/10 tasted like they went Nextdoor to the liquor store and bought the cheapest premixed they could get their hands on. I think I got type 2 diabetes from drinking just one. It was sooo sweet.
The food: I got nachos because nothing else was looking appetizing. I thought you can’t screw up nachos! It’s basic. Well…turns out you can. Ground beef tasted…sour? Sweet? Maybe sweet and sour? Cheese was cold and not melted and there was maybe a tablespoon of guac and sour cream combined. I’ve had better nachos at a bronco game, ok?? My partner got the Birria tacos and they were decent. But not great.
The service: 10/10 the servers were quick and friendly! And thank goodness it was super cheap.

The Mexican food here was pretty decent, but unfortunately the service really took away from the experience. The restaurant was almost empty, yet it took an exceptionally long time just to be greeted. After that, it took even longer for anyone to check in and ask if we wanted drinks.
When the food finally arrived, I did enjoy it,
but once again, we were left waiting a long time just to receive the check. With only two other tables occupied, there really wasn’t an excuse. The servers were slow and not attentive to their customers’ needs.
