A Sweet Treat Worth Waiting For

I recently visited Handel’s Homemade Ice Cream in Fishers, and it was a delightful experience. The ice cream is truly homemade and made fresh daily, offering an impressive selection of over 50 flavors.

Highlights:

– Delicious Flavors: From classic Chocolate Pecan to unique flavors like Graham Central Station and Cake Batter, there’s something for everyone.

– Homemade Goodness: The ice cream is crafted in-house using high-quality ingredients and traditional recipes.

– Friendly Service: Despite the long lines, the staff is courteous and accommodating.

Area for Improvement:

– Service Speed: Be prepared for potentially long wait times, as the lines can easily go around the building. While the staff is friendly, the service could use some speed to manage the crowds more efficiently.

Tips:

– Try their sampler option to taste multiple flavors.
– Consider visiting during off-peak hours to avoid long lines.
– Don’t miss out on their seasonal flavors and unique creations

My to go place when I’m craving Pistachio flavored ice cream. The one thing I love the most is that it actually has a good amount of pistachios in it.

I tried the sampler 4 dip. I got pistachio, coconut cream pie, smores and spouse big as a house. Let me tell you all the spouse one is amazing!! I loved it and wanted to lick the container!! Next was smores, it was also very good. The pistachio could use a little more flavor and the coconut cream was ok. Ill definitely visit again

My lovely bride and I stopped by for some delicious ice cream. She had PB chocolate chunk and I had the black cherry. She liked hers but thought it could use a touch more PB for her taste. I thought mine was fine. Quite a few people here but the staff was quick and efficient. Yeah a little pricey for ice cream but I figure it’s Fishers so their overhead has to be kinda high. We will be back.

One of the GEM in city, I love this home made ice creams. The 4 sampler is the best concept here, I wish other stores adapt this concept as well. My all time favourite is coconut pie, all the flavours are very good…… I like to eat different flavours every time I visit here.

flavour of the month concept is crazy as well. This is the top of the best ice cream parlours ever.

Amazing! I had the coconut cream pie, and it was hands down the best ice cream I’ve ever had. Sooo creamy and delicious! Pure perfection. The frosted animal cookie one was also really good. Others in the group had the coffee, cookie dough, and cake batter and all said they were fantastic. Not a bad price and worth the wait.

I was recommended this stop by my waitress after having a lovely dinner elsewhere. They had so many flavors and not the usual fare you see at other ice cream shops. They had a good variety of familiar flavors as well as some house concoctions. Please note, this is an outdoor seating only establishment. Not a deal breaker for me at all as it was a lovely cool cloudy day in August. Besides, I took it back to my hotel to enjoy like a gremlin in the privacy of my hotel room.
I tried a four scoop sampler of the following: Chocolate Raspberry Truffle, Strawberry Cheesecake Chunk, Seasonal Key lime Pie, and Graham Central Station.
The chocolate raspberry was Awesome! Heavy dark chocolate contrasted by the fresh, bright and acidic raspberries was an excellent combo.
The seasonal key lime pie was good, it tasted more like a like sherbet with graham crackers throughout. Not bad but not the best out of this bunch.
The strawberry cheesecake chunk was good. Nice sized chunks of cheesecake and good punchy strawberry throughout.
The graham central station. Damn. This was my favorite of the four I tried. It was the texture for me. You have their creamy ice cream with ribbons of crushed graham cracker and -hear me out- chocolate covered honeycomb. Not honeycomb the cereal or the real-thing from a beehive, but the candy, ‘honeycomb’. I forget about that old candy. But let me tell you the combination of the crunch of the honeycomb, with the slightly soggy graham cracker and the creamy ice cream. Do yourself a favor and get a scoop. Share with a friend. You’ll thank me later.
