First time at Gourmeltz and it was an awesome experience from start to finish. Love the fun 90s-themed atmosphere, but the food and service really stole the show. Our server Shannon was amazing—friendly, attentive, and on top of everything the whole visit.
We started with the naked smoked wings, which were cooked perfectly and full of flavor. For sandwiches, I had the Bourbon Buffalo Chicken, two of us ordered the Southern Comfort, and one got the Chicken & Waffle Melt. Every sandwich was prepared well and tasted fantastic. We all went with tots as our side, and they were crispy and delicious.
Great food, great service, and a great vibe. We’ll definitely be back and will be asking for Shannon every time!

Met up with some college buddies here and enjoyed some live music on the patio! The food was fantastic- I got the Veggie Bourbon Buffalo Chicken Sandwich with Tater Tots, and my sistet got the Sublime Shroom Melt. Both very filling and delicious. Our server was also very friendly- and they have a stellar Bottomless Mimosa Special. Will definitely hit this place up again when we’re back in Fredricksburg.

It’s a sports bar with a tasty vegetarian menu . Got veggie chicken waffle and veggie bourbon buffalo chicken melt. They were delicious. There is a stage, and we were hoping to listen to some 90’s music since that’s supposed to be the theme, but Sunday football gets priority I guess. Maybe next time.

I was just WOW’d by this place! We are first timers and seriously blown away by the so delicious and fresh food along with the superior service. Every staff member gave us a warm welcome. Alexis along with the owner Matt Strickland were incredibly welcoming. Their wings are seriously the best we had along with the tator tots and buffalo chicken dip. They have a variety of drinks and all together it’s just a VIBE!!! You’ll love their menu stop on by!!!

We were here in Virginia on business and decided to meet up here and eat with some of my husband’s fellow co-workers. All in all, it was a cool place to dine and have a few drinks. The chicken wings were awesome and the young guy that took our order and brought our food was awesome as well. My husband, along with his co-workers were pretty much buying out the bar.We closed the tab, but we decided not to leave right away. So, when I went back up to the bar to order another round of drinks , the bartender , who was a young man with dark hair and dark facial hair , kept walking by me , serving others that came up after I did, so he looks me in the face as he’s walking by and lets me know that he “takes care of those that take care of him first”. I know that bartenders thrive off of tips, but I should not have to continuously feed you money to get courteous service and be acknowledged for you to do your job. He was very rude and was not shy on expressing it all. All and all I had a great time. The establishment was awesome. The only bad part was the attitude that the bartender had, because we would not continuously feed him money. Everyone that was there with me and my husband were from out of town and big spenders, we spent close to $400, maybe more. I noticed that there were a lot of locals there because everybody was calling each other by name, including the bartender and those are the ones that he concentrated on the most. Please do better with bartender selection or atleast let them know to treat EVERYONE equally. What he DID NOT know was that all of us that were in that section, ordering dish after dish and drink after drink had compiled a tip together totaling around $200 maybe more, but after I told them the comment that he made all of that was forgotten. I guess he figured since nobody was leaving “high” end tips with their card that it was a wrap, but since we were all together at the tables, we decided to just give him straight cash. Next time watch what you say to people Mr. Bartender, because you would’ve gotten “taken care of” that night if you would’ve just keep that comment to yourself..

I’ve gone a handful of times, and will continue going. The 3/5 food rating is low, but honestly they DO have solid options. I’ve been slowly working through their menu. The brisket bomber is certainly the best so far, a 3.5 or 4 out of 5. There is some lows tho. What IS best is the bartenders and staff. You can’t go wrong with them. This is a great welcoming community and does karaoke weekly on Thursdays. There is regulars there that are fun to be around, and the owner is an absolute gem. Friendly and personable. If I could rate it out of 10 instead of 5, it would easily be a 9.
