When I say their fish and chicken was SO GOOD!!! And the gravy hushpuppies and salad were delicious too. We sat ourselves, were greeted & drink order taken quickly. The peach cobbler this go around was just warm, but still tasty. We have gotten it before when it was fresher and hot instead of just warm and was amazing.

Great place for catfish and other delicious fried items. Grace took great care of us. My five piece fish was great, and the bite I took of my wife’s steak finger was excellent as well. Really enjoyed the spicy hushpuppies. Only negative is I thought the fries tasted terrible – undercooked and tasted like old oil.
We’ll definitely be back on a future visit to Abilene.

Big portions. Food was good. Catfish really good. Fries were a little soggy. Side salad wasn’t that desirable. I should have gotten the coleslaw. Hushpuppies were really good.

If you are in the mood for country home cooking and catfish, you will want to give them a try. Our waitress was very helpful and attentive. It was a busy place so there was a little wait for our food. I feel if we would have told them we were in a hurry they would have really tried to accommodate us. It’s a popular place.We had their catfish and seafood platter and there was so much food to fill us up that there was no room for dessert.

Stopped by on our way to Austin. We shared the Seafood platter- crab cake- blackened catfish and 3 jumbo shrimp. We also ordered a small order of onion rings which were the BOMB. Food was really good and Heather took great care of us. Would definitely return.

The go to place for fried Catfish. I have been coming here for years (30+?)and have always liked their fish. It seemed to dip in quality a few years ago but I can tell ya now, it is back to its old ways and is extremely tasty. They seem to have changed their coleslaw recipe and I think the new recipe is pretty good. See pics… The waitstaff is always on point with friendly, prompt, and courteous service. If haven’t been here in awhile, I recommend checking it out.
